  • The illusive Hairy Man of Australia, commonly referred to as the Yowie, is a relic of colonial European superstition that although rarely spoken about has somehow left a cultural imprint on the entire country. An imprint so strong that every now and then when someone goes too deep into the bush they make the foolish error of confusing a Kangaroo hopping past as being a giant hairy half man, half ape-like monster. This silly mistake manages to keep happening again and again over the course of the last 200 years.


    This concoction of the colonial mind is so potent that it is claimed to retrospectively appear in Aboriginal cultural stories from all over the country.


    At least that's what the experts tell us. So let's do what we do and have a very thorough look at it.
