Secrets of the Trees presents: Case Updates for the years of 2021 & 2022
In 2021, we covered:
1. The unsolved murder of Trooper Johnny Rush Bowman, 39 years unsolved, viciously murdered at his doorstep 2. The unresolved murder of Brittany Binger, 18 years unsolved. There is a suspect in that case but he seems to have found a legal loophole which has allowed him to remain free. 3. The unsolved murder of Private First-Class Amanda Gonzales and her baby, 22 years unsolved 4. The unsolved murder of Kym Morgan, 38 years unsolved 5. The disappearance of Jerrica Laws, 8 years unsolved 6. The disappearance of Brenda Jackson, 7 years unsolved. A mural recently went up of Jerrica and Brenda. Their mothers actively participated in the painting and event. It was very refreshing to see the community still bringing awareness to Jerrica’s and Brenda’s disappearances.
In 2022, we covered:
1. The unsolved murder of Linda Muegge, 8 years unsolved 2. The unsolved murders of the Arellano Family, 55 years unsolved, there was only one survivor who was a small child at the time of his family’s massacre and miraculously survived his own brutal attack 3. The disappearance of Zhang Weijie, 25 years unsolved, who is thought to be the pregnant woman at the Bodies exhibit 4. The disappearance of Dennis Mann, 44 years unsolved, who is thought to be buried under a Walmart parking lot. 5. The murders of Kenshon Ward and Shante Bohanan, 7 years unsolved and the disappearances of Joanna Wright and Marlo Gulley, 7 and 6 years missing, respectively. Kenshon, Shante, Joanna, and Marlo all knew each other but police say the cases aren’t linked. 6. The disappearance of Sandra Kay Powell, 36 years unsolved, she disappeared while pregnant. 7. The disappearances of Felipe Santos & Terrence Williams, 20 and 19 years unsolved respectively, who disappeared after contact with the same cop. 8. The tragic death of Anamarie Sannicolas Camacho & Genesia Gresham, 16 years since their deaths, no updates as to if their killer had any change in his medical condition or if he was taken off light support. 9. The tragic death of Stacy “Annie” Dryden, 15 years since her death, no certainty if charges will be brought against unnamed male sailor.
Another year has started and it is quite possible developments on any one of these cases may happen.
For now, we will continue to bring awareness to other individuals whose cases did not receive much attention and check back periodically on the 2021 and 2022 cases.
