  • Season 03 Introducing Nick
    May 25 2024
Nic is an export from his London (UK) hometown, now living in Hong Kong where he has been based for the last 10 years. Having attended his first Bikram yoga class in January 2012, Nic soon discovered the benefits of the practice for his physical, emotional, and mental well-being, which sparked a lasting and deep interest in the mind/body connection for bringing balance to his corporate, big city life. As a Banking Lawyer, based in a notoriously frenetic city, Nic has been eager to prioritize finding space for inner calm and reflection and to develop tools to help others in their journey to do likewise. If not in a hot yoga studio somewhere at home or on his travels, Nic can be found with his head in a good book, running trail or road races, browsing through record shops, or finding something to trigger a good belly laugh! • Season 03 Introducing Benedicte
    May 10 2024
Mind The Gap Podcast Season 03 Episode 09 In this episode, we discuss topics that every yoga teacher faces, such as being authentic to the yoga lineage and living yoga in a modern world. We talk about how the world of social media has changed people's perceptions of yoga and the accessibility and quality of what is now being offered. It's a very dynamic conversation, and I would love to hear your thoughts on it. As always, thank you to Bénédicte for being so open-minded. Even yoga teachers can agree to disagree on some topics :) Bénédicte discovered yoga in 2013 while she was pregnant with her son. Since then, yoga has been an integral part of her life. She has practised various forms of yoga, including Prenatal, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Bhakti, and Karma yoga. In 2019-2020, she underwent teacher training in Hatha and Vinyasa to share the mental and physical well-being benefits she experienced with others. She wanted to make yoga accessible to everyone and bring smiles to people's faces after Savasana. Bénédicte started facilitating yoga classes in 2020 and continued her studies in Yin yoga in 2023 to further expand her knowledge. She considers herself an eternal student in a lifelong yoga journey, where reading and questioning are part of her daily routine. Listen, like and share. Thank YOU!
