001 - Woodstock Could Have Been a Complete Disaster

  • Summary

  • Woodstock is considered to be one of the most important events in rock history. It attracted an audience of almost 500,000 people when only 25 thousand were expected. A total of thirty-two acts performed with some bands having to go on at 3:30 in the morning. Since they were not prepared for that amount of people everything that could go wrong, went wrong. The festival quickly ran out of food, toilets, and medicine; they couldn’t even build the fence on time so the concert ended up being free. However, sometimes disasters are a blessing in disguise because what followed was an incredible music festival where against all odds it managed to be successful and is cemented as a piece of history.
