Amazing - from the characters to the storyline!
These books grabs you from page one. I'm glad my graduation didn't go down like this! I love the diversity of angles that we have from terrorists to survivalists to those just trying to make it - all with Zombies of course. You can really tell that the author is interested in the psychology of a broken society where we stop worrying about what to buy and survival one again trumps everything else.
Great suspense, tense, action filled story all brought to life by the incredible narration.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

We're on our own out here.
This Audio book includes the first two episodes of an ongoing serial. As such, further books will be required to complete the story.
Having said that, the first of the two books could be read alone as it reads like a short story covering the redistribution of the virus which will cause such worldwide devistation. Book two moves on to the first hours, the release points, chaos and reaction from authorities, and introduces the reader to those characters likely to be playing a part in the books to come.
An interesting feature of these opening chapters is that the distribution of the virus released was a deliberately devised scheme, that the Zeds were very fast moving and actively aggressive.
Early days yet but the desperate groups of survivors trying to find a safe location seem to be growing in charactdr and this is ably assisted by the narration of S.W.Salzman. His slightly gruff voice is pleasant to hear and his reading is well paced and clear.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the rights ho?der, via Audiobook Boom. My thanks for that. I did enjoy listening and there were certainly some novel approaches which promise to make this slightly different to other zombie apocalypse books. But was I sufficiently involved to continue with the serial? Probably not.

sinister!
I loved this book, it was very sinister and dramatic, non stop action, and great characters. The narration was good, Salzman's raspy raspy tones are perfect for zombie fiction, giving a dramatic flare. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Loved it
I had actually listened to the third audio book in this series, which I really enjoyed and led me to buy this set. The bonuses were the narrator and that this is a two-book set.
The narrator for these books is different from the narrator for the third book. I really enjoy his narration~he is one of my favourite narrators. His talent really lies in creating voices and personalities for the characters.
The only thing that I was not keen on was that at the beginning of book one, we learn what happens to one of the main characters. So whenever I get to listen to the forth instalment, I feel that I will be always expecting it without the surprise. Apart from that, I really enjoyed the books.

A good introduction to the series
I was given this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review
This is a joint review for Zed's World Book One (or #0.5 on GoodReads), The Gathering Horde and Zed's World Book Two (or #1 on GoodReads), Roads Less Travelled.
I'm going to start off and just tell you here right now, if it ever came down to a Zombie apocalypse, I don't feel embarrassed to tell you that I would head straight on up over to the zombies and just give it the old, if you can't beat 'em then join 'em trick. I find myself reading (or watching) Zombie apocalypses stories just to see what tips get thrown out and how worth it it might be to try and survive.
The Gathering Horde is a great opener to this series. We learn here about how the virus spread, with terrorism as the main backdrop, and we are in the labs as the downfall of America is set in motion. Does it feel kinda sterotyped to who the bag guys are, yeah it does. I mean, it doesn't put all the bad guys into one bag, but that's a bit of a downside. *shrug* A great thing about this book is it is short, so makes for a really great teaser to see if it's something that you might like to pick up and explore further. It gives us a brief introduction to multiple characters, but there is no depth, exploration or full development within this short scene setter.
Roads Less Travelled gives us more character’s stories, and less Zombie action. Now that the Zombies are out in the world, we're thrown into different characters grouping together to try to survive and escape. D-Day is contacted to re-join the Army to help control the situation, yet how is he going to be able to navigate back to the checkpoint requested? I was more involved within D-Days storyline than the others. It got to the point with me that there were so many characters that I started to tune some out, following the action more than who was in it. I did like it flashing to different groups to give a broader sense of what was actually going on!
I listened to the audiobook for these and whilst good, it takes a bit of time to get used to the narrator. I give these together 3 stars, taking into account story and narrator, and I'm onto book 3 soon!

Really enjoyed this one
Good story, in depth characters.
Looking forward to getting onto the third part.
I do love a good zombie end of the world type book anyway. So this gave me my fix.

Exciting Zombie Adventure
I really enjoyed this action packed zombie survival story, it is the first two parts of a series and introduces you to the main characters at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.
The action starts right from the beginning and at the end you are left wanting more, I will definitely be reading the rest of the series. I recommend this book to all Zombie fans.
