Summary

World-renowned Chef Prescott Vaughan was at the height of his career. Right before he's to leave for Paris to work alongside his idol, a horrific car accident leaves him completely blind.

His female fiance leaves him in a state of desperation and depression. He pines for love and companionship and so happens to find it in the form of his very sexy neighbor. His sexy male neighbor, Dr. Rickson "Ric" Edwards.

Prescott's not gay - at least he never considered himself gay - until Ric saves him from a date gone terribly wrong. The two neighbors hit it off quickly, and things are great until Ric begins to have his doubts about meeting Prescott's many wants.

When Ric insists he and Prescott take a breather, Pres finds himself lonely and lacking again. Enter male escort and aspiring chef Blair McKenzie to fill the void.

When Ric is finally ready and returns to claim Prescott, he's not sure that Pres can let go of the sexy, Southern hotness that is Blair McKenzie.

Pres soon realizes that there's no need to choose between his two men, because when all three of them finally come together - grab a cold drink - the heat is going to go all the way up!

Contains mature themes.

A lovely story.

What a lovely audiobook. Made me laugh and almost brought me to tears. I felt as if I was there with the superb narration of the wonderfully descriptive words. First book by this author, won't be the last.

Good story

I really enjoyed this story, loved all 3 characters and the angst and heart wrenching parts made the spicy bits all the sweeter

More than meets the eye

Story: Picking up an AE Via book is guaranteed to be a rollercoaster of emotions. This one certainly fits the bill! High on emotions and real life challenges, the story of two chefs and a doctor was really good! I really liked the characters the author created and the overall plot. There are plenty ups and downs that had me rooted to the story.
Performance: Not my favorite to be honest. The voice is very pleasant, pronounciation clear and easy to follow. That being said, the voices the narrator used and the inflections grated on me throughout the book. In moments of high passion the characters sounded almost bored, when trying for seductive voices - drunk. It's most likely a case of individual likes and dislikes, but I did not click with this narrator's performance.

Dramatic start happy ending

To find yourself in the dark after a car accident got to be terrifying tgen people who you thought were the love of your life walk away seems to be the end but wake yourself up and get on with your life, change your lover/s and the world seems brighter. This is M/M erotic. well written and brilliantly narrated.

Must be read

Brilliant book can’t praise this too much. I’m not one to read ‘gay’ books, but I’m glad I read this one.

Absolutely depressing

This book started interesting but it is horrible, it literally made me feel depressed, and had to stop it. All of the characters are annoying, toxic, weak, and have the biggest victim mentality. They fall in love every two chapters with someone else, promise eternal love, then abandon each other the next chapter, and then buy prostitutes and complain constantly.
So damn bad.

Not her best book

I don't really understand how AE Via can write one of my favourite books (Here Comes Trouble) along with some very poor offerings. Her output seems very inconsistent. Even with the Nothing Special series, there are some great and not-so-great books. This isn't the worst book of hers I have read but it's pretty much down there. It starts out OK but descends into a completely incomprehensible mush where these men live in some perfect bubble and don't behave consistently. By the end, the sickly one dimensional nature of the characters really got to me. This is a gay threesome for goodness sake. There must be something more complex going on. Stick to Nothing Special and Aiden Snow if you want something decent from this author.
