You Are All Diseased by the Grammy Award-winning American standup comic George Carlin was recorded for HBO on February 6, 1999, but the material remains fresh and funny today. His textured voice and top-notch delivery create an unbeatable listening experience as he covers topics such as airport security, terrorism and religion. The audiobook includes: "Fear of Germs", "Cigars", "Angels", "Harley Davidson", "House of Blues", "Minority Language: A-Happens to Be; B-Openly; C-Urban; D-Girlfriend", "Man Stuff", "Kids and Parents", "TV Tonight", "Names", "Advertising Lullaby", "American Bullshit", "Businessmen", "Religion", and "There Is No God".

Raw Truth
I heard an analogy recently that new born babies are like Diamonds & that, as they grow, they learn manipulation & pretensions, which covers the Diamond in Horse muck, finished off with sheen of nail polish to make it seem something pretty when it ain't. The Refreshing thing about listening to George Carlin is that he is all Diamond. Although what he says is not pretty, it is heartfelt truth & he may be cynical & crude, but that is what the World is often like & he is merely speaking his mind.
This download seems to typify the later George Carlin in being someone who was Blunt & Brutally honest (as opposed to the early George Carlin who was more people-pleasing & witty). I was not disappointed. Essentially the entire show consists of Carlin griping about things that annoy him. Most of the time, this can get dull (as with Grumpy Old Men), but the quirkiness of his view of the World means that things that annoy him are different to normal people & funnier as a result.
Starting with a rant about airport security (and how people should take more risks), he moves through subjects as diverse as Little House on the Prairie, Angels, Barbed Wire Tattoos & his State-of-the-Art Immune System. Each time he brings interesting insight & unleashes an arsenal of insults & plain common sense on them so that you feel you've seen the World through an unusual perspective (even though his is a simple, no bull philosophy.)
Naturally, my one criticism is that it's not for everyone. I recall being offended by the stuff at the end about God (when I was Christian) & dismissing him as a 'Devil-man'.
To some like this, but to those with an open perspective, what you can gain from raw truth is worth swallowing your Pride for.
I advise anyone that seeks to please others & who is affectations in any way, to get this book & learn how one of the masters of comedy told it like it is. Much of it is strong, potent stuff, but to get to a diamond, it's worth wading thru some.

outstanding
Luv George Carlin. With some I do not agree, some do not apply anymore, nevertheless we need this acts badly in today's political climate.
