About this listen

Ranch owner Cane Kirk lost more than his arm in the war. He lost his way, battling his inner demons by challenging any cowboy unfortunate enough to get in his way. No one seems to be able to cool him down, except beautiful Bodie Mays. Bodie doesn’t mind saving Cane from himself, even if he is a little too tempting for her own peace of mind.

But soon Bodie’s the one who finds herself in need of rescuing - only, she’s afraid to tell Cane what’s really going on. How can she trust someone as unpredictable as this fierce cowboy? When her silence only ends up getting her into even deeper hot water, it’s up to Cane to save the day. And if he does it right, he won’t be riding off into the sunset alone.

my first ever audio book...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

my favourite books of all time are horror and action BUT i love light hearted romance novels/chic lit too and because my reading is interfering with how many hours i put in at work (self employed home worker) I thought i would start listening to my books whilst i work and I loved it. This is a nice book though slightly repetitive at times. I do prefer my main leads to be less pure and godly but I really did enjoy it over all. I can honestly say I laughed so hard i snorted a few times, very inelegant I know lol I spent much of the time imagining what the guy who read this must have been thinking during some parts of the book. I can honestly say I prefer to read the book myself so i can set the ambiance and tone of voice myself but this is a niche that I am sure I will be spending a lot of money on - I have just purchased the next one in the series :D

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

its a romance novel so slightly predictable but thats not a bad thing - its the reason i read romance novels

Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I think he is extremely good at his job a few times his tone of voice didnt reflect the emotion or tone suggested by the writing but thats just me being overly picky.
