Another great Tuva Moodyson Mystery
With some familiar strange characters, and some new here’s another great book, same beautifully described part of the country with new odd traditions and local normals… needless to say that even after everything that happened in the last book something happens that only Tuva can get to the bottom of!
Same great narration, another fantastic story!
Whilst not necessary I’d check out the first 4 before this one to avoid spoilers…

A welcome return to Gavrik
A wonderful addition to this dark atmospheric Scandi crime series.
This is a dark, twisted and intriguing story as ever and Tuva has developed in ways we could not have predicted.
I love this world and the characters that Will Dean has created and look forward to the next instalment. It is visceral and alive with sights, scents, flavours and sensations.
The narrator Maya Lindh, brings Tuva and the story to life.
I’d recommend starting from the beginning of the series for full enjoyment.

lossing impetuous
The series for me has run its course. This time out the plot and story feel formulated, without depth and soul. The characters don't feel like they have developed. This option may seem harsh as the story is alright, but the sheer quality of the previous books mean my expectations were so high.

Breathtaking as always!
I love the stories of Tuva and ones again this did not disappoint. Being from Värmland myself it is like being thrown back to the deep forest and small town life when I read or listen to the stories in my small apartment in London. I could not stop listening and finished it in one day. Thank you so much!

Not the best Tuva story
Not enough character development and lacked the charm of previous books. Part of the allure of these books is the small town feel of the writing. This lacked that, as it was a bit too far fetched.

whole series so far 10 out of 10
So well paced, full of a sense of place and character. The series makes you wonder at the country and care for the characters. I hope there's a good few more to come.

Not the best of the series
Normally I really enjoy Maya’s voice, not sure what happened here, but she sounds like a child learning to read, not very smooth. Her voice is also slightly irritating, not her usual performance. I just can’t finish listening to it. Might have to try and read the book instead. Will be returning it.

Not my favourite of the series by far
Claustrophobic, obsessive characters made for an unpleasant listen. I wish Tuva had just turned around and left them to it.

Not for me
I did not like the sharp short sentence delivery of this book.
The overall story line was interesting but too many chapters with excessive detail. I was getting bored half way through. I did not enjoy this book.
