About this listen
Two thugs. One innocent woman. And one vicious frickin' werewolf.
Meet George and Lou, thugs for hire. The kind of intimidating-yet-friendly guys who will break your thumbs, but be polite about it.
Their latest assignment is to drive across Florida to deliver some precious cargo to a crime lord. The cargo: a man in a cage. Though Ivan seems perfectly human, they're warned that he is, in fact, a bloodthirsty werewolf.
George and Lou don't believe in the supernatural, but even if they did, it's daytime, and tonight isn't the full moon. Their instructions are straightforward: Do not open the cage. Do not reach into the cage. Do not throw anything into the cage. And they don't.
Unfortunately, Ivan doesn't play by the usual werewolf rules, and the thugs find themselves suddenly responsible for a ferocious escaped beast. One who can transform at will. One who enjoys killing in human form as much as he enjoys killing as a monster.
If George and Lou want to save their careers, dozens of people, and their own lives, they need to recapture him. Because Ivan the werewolf is in the mood for a murder spree....
From Jeff Strand, the three-time Bram Stoker Award nominated author of Pressure, comes 75,000 words of action-packed, blood-soaked werewolf terror!

BUDDY GREAT
I love this book I have the paperback and I read it in 2 days so when I saw this on audible it was a no brainer. It's a great buddy read with the unforgettable Lou and George. It is both funny and gory give it a go.

a crime story with wolves
Jeff Strand’s Wolf Hunt is an exhilarating rollercoaster of horror, humor, and action that brilliantly redefines the werewolf genre. From the very first page, Strand hooks readers with his razor-sharp wit, dark humor, and his knack for creating characters that leap off the page with authenticity and charisma.
George and Lou, the protagonists, are a pair of thugs with an unlikely charm, whose banter and camaraderie keep the narrative engaging and downright hilarious. Their mission to transport Ivan, a supposed werewolf, starts as a job for easy money, but Strand’s clever plot twists and unpredictable turns soon plunge them into chaos. Ivan himself is a masterfully written antagonist—terrifying, cunning, and surprisingly humorous in his own malevolent way.
Strand’s pacing is impeccable, blending moments of nail-biting tension with laugh-out-loud comedic relief. The action sequences are vivid and cinematic, yet the real magic lies in the dialogue and character interactions, which feel both natural and wildly entertaining. The balance between horror and humor is a testament to Strand’s storytelling genius; the gore and thrills never overshadow the wit, and vice versa.
Wolf Hunt is a breath of fresh air in the horror genre. It’s perfect for fans of dark comedy, fast-paced thrillers, and anyone looking for a werewolf story that’s as unpredictable as it is entertaining. Strand has crafted a novel that’s impossible to put down, and it’s no surprise that this book has spawned a beloved series.
Highly recommended for readers who love their horror with a side of irreverent humor. Jeff Strand’s Wolf Hunt is a howlingly good time!

A great werewolf book with dark comedic elements
Where does Wolf Hunt rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It was good. It's nice to get a good werewolf book without it being some type of teen book.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I wouldn't change it. It has gunplay, comedy, gore, and car chases, decent pace and I really liked it.
What does Scott Thomas bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
I thought the dark comedy came out well from this really solid narration. Good sense of pace and really easy to listen too.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved the dry one liners that characters deliver.

Great story superb narration
I have listened to this story multiple times, the narrator is amazing and really brings the characters to life. The story itself is fast paced and refreshingly different to the current crop of teen werewolf stories that are currently on the market. The story of George and Lou's troubles with a werewolf are very bloody and at times bloody hilarious. So if you want a serious werewolf story that doesn't take itself too seriously, this has got to be worth a listen.

Hilarious! Fun! Gory!
Bad Boys with werewolves. Can be very Splatter punk at times. Which I love. The relationship between George and Lou is infectious. Jack and Victor, Bob and Bing or Heart and Cube. Please can we get the third installment audible?!

Bloody good book!
This book was surprisingly brilliant. It took the “overdone” werewolf fable and gave it an almost believable, very funny spin. The narrator was so good. He gave each character in the book their very own voice and made you laugh out loud to the two thugs banter. Definitely getting the sequel to wolf hunt.
