About this listen
With Prejudice is a romantic yet harsh action story of runaway soldier Michael Carver and a young Cherokee woman called Little Deer who find each other when their worlds collide in 1838 America.
Amid the destruction of the Native tribes and their forced migration out west to the new Indian Territory, Michael becomes disillusioned with the army and the treatment of the indigenous people and decides to leave it all behind and return to his farm in Virginia.
When Little Deer escapes from what the Cherokee would later call The Trail of Tears, she and Michael now on the run together become hunted by the violent Colonel Harlan and his posse chasing them through the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina dead set on revenge.
For this escaped pair of outcasts, they discover that neither one is alone in their search for hope, love, belonging…for home.
