About this listen

Every person she kisses finds their true love, and it’s never her—until now, in this funny and magically romantic short story by the New York Times bestselling author of The Dead Romantics.

Audrey Love is cursed to be the person before you find your soulmate, the girl you dump for your true love. So when her best friend disappears hours before his Valentine’s Day wedding, Audrey fears that she did the unthinkable and kissed him at last night’s bachelor party. With help from the best man, she retraces her steps to find the missing groom and, with any luck, a true love of her own.

Ashley Poston’s With Any Luck is part of The Improbable Meet-Cute, irresistibly romantic stories about finding love when and where you least expect it. They can be read or listened to in one sitting. Let’s make a date of it.

Disappointing

I really didn't like the narrator. Audrey wasn't very likable. I loved the idea of the book but it very flat.

Not a meet-cute

I struggled to get into this story and I think it's because I really did not like Audrey. It's also an enemies to lovers, second chance rather than a meet-cute situation.

I loved how there was a role reversal - a female best man and a male maid of honour.

There was lots of banter with Audrey and Theo, but I could not see an attraction between the two at all, not from the part of them we see in this book, she came across as an irresponsible drunk, rather than anything appealing. She spent half her time talking about the bride & groom rather than talking to Theo.

This was my least favourite of this series.

i wasn't a fan of the narration, not sure if this was due to the narrator or the accent.
