Summary
One sassy demi-goddess. Four hot Guardians. And a few evil people.
As a demi-goddess, Wyn has always stood out from the human crowd. And now, on her 22nd birthday, her magic finally surfaces with a bang. A big bang. She'll need the help of not one, but four (sexy) Guardians to control her destructive powers. If only they weren't so distracting....
Her mother, the Winter Queen, waits for Wyn in the Realms of Gods, but there are enemies who will try and prevent her from ever reaching the Realms, even if that means going to war.
Will Wyn be able to survive the journey? And if she does, can she resist falling for her Guardians?
A full-length reverse harem novel. 18+

I NEED MORE!!!!
With the exception of a minor thing that I didn't fully agree with, I really adored this book. And the thing that I didn't really agree with is something that I'm beginning to come around to. At the beginning I was flabbergasted. At the end, it made a lot of sense to me. I guess I wish the approach had been different. I'd love to see some back story to this series. Maybe some memories of Win's childhood would be beneficial to the story line. Obviously not the childhood in general, but some memories involving her mother. Maybe some memories of her mother as well. All in all, I really really enjoyed this book and I'm so happy that I had the chance to read it. I want more! I wholeheartedly fully recommend this book!

A fabulous story beautifully brought to life
I read this story when it was first published and when I saw it was on audio I just had to get it as I enjoyed the story so much. I have listened to other stories narrated by Laurel Schroeder so I was intrigued as to what she would sound like narrating this story and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed!!!
The narrator really captures the essence of Wyn, she really bought all the characters to life and did justice to the exciting story being read, I love audio books but a few of my favourite books I bought on audio and was disappointed with the narrator but I am so glad this was not the case
I really enjoyed listening to this amazing story and am so excited for the next book to be bought to life in audio, I highly recommend this audio and the fantastic story

I fell in love with book. This is a page turner! I love a book that I hate to stop and I am running back too. This book is well written and I love the characters. Skye MacKinnon has just found a new fan. Laurel Schroeder is the prefer narrator for this book! Love, Love, Loved it!

solid story
I really enjoyed this story. There was a lot that was good about this. The story starts out strong and really kept me interested. One of the aspects I really liked was Wyn discovering her magic. It was definitely interesting and I love how her magic was a cat! The ending did seem a little rush. The final battle was all of the sudden here and then it was over. I also wish we had a little more of them at the palace. However, this didn't dampen my enjoyment of the story.
Wyn's character was fantastic. There was so much that I enjoyed about her. I felt like every reaction she made was realistic which made it easy to connect with her character. The reverse harem aspect was done in a good way. I liked how it was because of their connected magic and not "just because". Each guardian was perfect for the story also. They each had their own personality which really complimented Wyn.
Overall, Winter Princess by Skye MacKinnon was a great book. The pacing and story were really well developed, even though the ending felt a little rushed. I really enjoyed Wyn's character and felt like the story was perfect for her character. The guardian's really complimented Wyn's character which helped with the romance.
AUDIO REVIEW: note that the narration does not affect my rating of the book.
I absolutely enjoyed the audio narration. It is amazing when the narrator really puts the emotions into the story. That is what happened here and it really made the story so much better. I highly recommend this audio if you were interested in listening to it.

unique slow burn RH
This is a unique spin on a tale of the old gods. A daughter of the mother of gods just as she comes into her powers and the Guardians sent to protect and bring her to her biological mother. Love the narrator and story, will definitely listen to the remainder of the series.

Enjoyable PNR
I love a good paranormal romance, and Winter Princess was just that. Good. Nothing more and nothing less. The story had plenty of potential, the synopsis lays it out for you so I won’t repeat it. I loved the characters, at times however I wanted more..... more what you say? I’m not sure, more feelings maybe. I felt like it was missing a little something that I just could’t put my finger on. Basically, I had no problem taking a break from the story, when I was listening to it I was engaged and enjoying it, when I wasn’t listening, I wasn’t thinking about it, and I love a book that I never want to put down. I love wondering what will happen next, I love anticipating the characters every thought, and that wasn’t happening with Winter Princess. All that said, it was an enjoyable PNR, although I’m not sure yet if I will continue on to book 2. Watch this space. The narration from Laurel Schroeder was faultless, no complaints there.

Can’t connect
This book has a very great storyline, however I don’t feel connected to the heroine. She seems selfish and immature. She destroy things just because she doesn’t liked an answer and she’s saying one thing and act another. It’s a little frustrating on her ups and down. Laurel Schroeder did a very great job in narrating the book.

My Thoughts on Winter Princess
This series starter blew me away. Within the first few chapters I was absolutely hooked. I love the characters, the suspense, the intrigue. I love the steadily developing relationship between Wyn and her guardians. I just loved it all. I was even ok with the cliff hanger ending, but only because I get to jump right into the next story asap.
I loved the narration. Laurel Schroder is one of my favorites and I hope she continues to narrate all of these because she just has one of those voices that is entertaining and has a broad range for the different characters.
