Summary

Together in one collection, Books 13 and 14 of the Will Travel for Trouble series of cozy mysteries, Trouble at Devils Tower and Trouble in El Paso.

Trouble at Devils Tower

Minnie and Ben are back for more murder and mayhem! Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, and her ghost companion, Ben, are heading to Devils Tower. The massive monolith dominating the Wyoming landscape is the stuff of legends...and mysteries.

One such mystery finds Minnie and Ben before than they find him. A little green man/alien leads them on a merry chase to solve the Trouble at Devils Tower.

Trouble in El Paso

Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, and her ghost companion, Ben, have arrived in sunny El Paso, Texas, land of cowboy boots and 1,000 great Tex-Mex restaurants. One such restaurant makes the greatest fajitas...ever. All Minnie wants to do is eat great food during her stay in El Paso, but there is no way that Minnie and Ben can get through a stay in fabulous fajita land without someone dying an untimely death at the hands of a killer.

Two more great stories in this series

I really love these books. This collection covered books 13 and 14. Honestly I preferred Trouble in Devil's Tower a quirkier and more unusual story although both are excellent. The descriptions of the Devil's Tower are detailed and vivid, the characters are suitably odd and the story entertaining. Trouble in El Paso is a more standard offering, with a suspicious death, threatening Russians, infidelity add secrets and with sone great touches. Michelle Babb does an excellent job as always with the narration. I received a complimentary copy from the narrator and am leaving a honest voluntary review

Minnie and Ben Strike again!

2 more entertaining stories about Minnie and Ben, both interesting in their own right. I'm not sure about the change in relationship between Minnie and ghostly Ben after their meeting with the alien their communication skills diminish in, to me, a disturbing way. Will be interesting to see where this series is going in books 15 and 16. Michelle Babb once again does a great job of the narration, wonder if she is becoming typecast as Minnie Crockwell! ☺

Never disappointed with this series of Books

Minne Crockwell and Ben seem to have become my close companions on my daily trips to the Crockwell series of stories. I'm loving these books. Very enjoyable and made especially so by the marvellous narration from Michelle Babb.

"He's dead,Ben."

Minnie must be the most unfortunate RV traveller ever: no matter where she goes, even for only a couple of days, she finds a dead body. On the other hand, she is not alone, but has Ben, the English ghost, to protect and comfort her. But something is changing in her relationship with Ben as they encounter two new parking places.

In Trouble at Devil's Tower, being located at site 13 might have been an omen but it was the tin hatted camp manager and the strong smell of onions that confused Minnie. And, of course, the man in a green alien costume who ran away...

Trouble in Al Paso (chapter 14) is slightly different, when Minnie and Ben decide to try the TexMex food at a local restaurant and are invited to join another couple eating there. If course it all goes wrong...

Two more original stories, linked by food, in this amusing series box set, and both read by the rich, warm voice of Michelle Babb. Always a pleasure to hear her interpretation, and her English accent for Ben, the ghost, is masterful. I was fortunate in being freely gifted with a complimentary copy of this lastest edition of Will Travel for Trouble, by the right's holder at my request. Thank you so much. Although the stories are quite short, they are great fun, as is the ongoing relationship between the two main protagonists. Perhaps not quite as attention grabbing as earlier books in the series, for me Minnie Crockwell's travels still remain a favourite no effort, enjoyable and lightweight unmissable murder mystery series.

A really nice listen.

So a very different route for these two stories and to be honest I throughly enjoyed them.
I can’t believe how many I have listened to and am getting quite sad I’m almost through the series. That’s how you know a good book.
I’ve just finished book 14 and even though I guessed who, it did not fail to entertain.

The books are narrated really well it’s like listening to a friend at this point.
I’m looking forward to book 15. I just need to know what’s next.

Little green men and Russians ... wow

Well these 2 books were hilarious, albeit in a dark way, the first featuring a little green man and the second, some highly suspicious Russian goings on.

Both deaths have a common denominator again, both stories are equally satisfying but I was particularly happy with the ending of the second.

Great narration from Michelle Babb again. She's perfect as Minnerva aka Minnie. I love these stories.
