About this listen

Before World War II could reach its conclusion, the world suffered what could only be defined as a cataclysm. Now, Yosemite city stands as the gateway between two worlds and an equal power in the continent. Unfortunately, it’s surrounded on all sides by those who would love to see them fail: the empire in the west, a king to the east, and the tri-lliance of the wastes to the south.

Standing at the top of Yosemite is the warrior king Vince, a ranger turned city state ruler. Supporting him in his endeavors is his inner circle. With a firm grasp on Yosemite, Vince has solidified his borders. He’s gotten the army trained to an elite status. He’s given his people a peaceful lifestyle with an economy that grows year over year. Yosemite is well and truly prospering.

There is a delicate balance between nations in military and trade, however. One that is going to be upended with a skirmish in the lands of southern Yosemite.

The bullseye Vince had worked so hard to remove is back, and bigger than ever. All anyone can do now is prepare for the storm.

Warning: This novel contains adult themes and moral ambiguities. The main character is portrayed as a real person in an apocalypse and will not make choices that line up with society and cultural norms.

This story contains a harem and is an Adult Fantasy novel.

Great, amazing, I cried more then I should have!

So ummm a bit of spoilers here so if you are reading it before actually listening to the book, you should stop here. I’m not talking any responsibility for any spoilers below and you are reading it at your own disposal.

Sooo, omg Petra and others. And the crossover with SSOSH, they are all one big family now and I didn’t expect Felix to be that way. He always seem more awkward with feelings. Can’t wait to see the other side of the story in ssosh 3. And lastly, Runnnnner and he mentioned the sculpture at the end and if you read Otherlife Trilogy it’s rather obvious he meant Naden and all those feelings came back. I’m curious if it was also him in the ssosh when felix needed help and can’t wait see what the favour is.

CHOCKING!!!

Loved this book.
I did not see the twist that was coming in this book, with some of the characters that was introduced.
As a dragon fan, I sincerely approve of what has transpired in this book.
Makes me want to hear more of what will happen on that front, or if that was it!?

SPOILER AND RECOMMENDATION!

Read the:
Otherworld series AND Super sales on Super Heroes. Prefferably in that order.
Both by William D. Arand.
So that you understand what has happend in this book.

Enjoyable series

I have enjoyed the series and the reference's / crossover to the super sale on super heroes books.
I'm glad I read/listened to the first two super sales books first bofore reading the three waste books, it helped with the introduction of crossover caricatures. Would recommend to all but be aware these are ADULT Books and at times are graphic. Both in the fighting and the XXX parts😉.

this trilogy needs a book 4

another excellent story, however I believe the story needs finishing off or at least another book due to that cliffhanger and plothole. also read Super Sales for Superheroes book 3 because it's crosses over with it.

Brilliant

I just 're-read the 3 books again and I enjoyed every minute. I hope there're several more books in this series, I like Vince's story more than any other character of Randi Darren's books. I like how interesting the story is getting and it has a little bit of everything. Can't wait for the next book.

Got bored by this point

The first book actually surprised me and although it is quite explicit, a fucked up part of me wanted to carry on listening. Tbh, I had enough by the end of the second book. So it was no surprise that I couldn't finish this book fast enough. I have to say that the Narration through out has been superb. With SO SO many characters to voice, she manages to give each character a unique voice. I can't help but feel that Randi Darren got lucky to get her as his narrator.
