About this listen
He’ll risk everything to keep her.
He’s going from military hero to bodyguard? Well, that might not be so bad. But then Fergus meets the woman he’s hired to protect. A former teen pop star? Please God, no.
After a lifetime of being taken advantage of, Aubrey is very good at relying on only herself, while pushing people away. But her sexy, dominant bodyguard’s need for complete control is impossible to resist. Who is she to complain when he insists on being much, much closer than arm’s length?
And keeping the sexy hero close isn’t such a bad idea, considering she’s attracted the attention of a dangerous stalker who’ll do whatever it takes to claim her as his own.

Such a fun series
I had so much fun listening to this story. The backstory and the dialogue are well written and draw in the listener/reader. The narration really fit the characters and was done well. I remained hooked until the last work was spoken. This series is really easy to listen to and keep you wanting more.

Sexy bodyguard
With such a hunky bodyguard what else was going to happen? This is one lucky lady, finally. A brilliant performance.

Book 7 - Wilder Irish
This is book 7 in Carr's Wilder Irish and can easily be read / listened to as a standalone but oh - this series! I just love each and every one I've had the privilege to listen to. The dual narration by Daniels and Brown is perfection! Our main characters are Fergus and Aubrey. Fergus is starting a security business with his cousin Finn when an opportunity arises that he can't say no to. Aubrey is a famous musician and has attracted the attention of a dangerous stalker. Aubrey is an utter b-word at the beginning but if you've lived thru the heartache and betrayals that she has, you'd probably be one too. Fergus has known the love of family his whole life and the advice of his pop pop has always seen him thru and this job has been no different. Fantastic storyline and character development - amazing narration. Wonderful balance between sweet and steamy with a few laughs and some danger. I love the touch of bdsm that we're given too! Overall, this is another wonderful read all in of itself but also as part of this series. I can't wait for more!

Excellent Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Emotional
“Wild Fire” is an amazing romance novel and a fabulous addition to Mari Carr’s “Wilder Irish” series. Being a huge fan of rock star romance novels I was looking forward to this book and Mari Carr does not disappoint with her unique spin of a rock star body guard romance and best of all it is set in her “Wilder Irish” world so we get some more grandfatherly words of wisdom from PopPop. Fergus Collins spent his last nine years in the military serving his county, but he is back home ready to start a career and security company. Before getting the company off the ground, he gets an offer he can not refuse, a gig as a security guard for a former pop start, Jenny Sweet, now rock start Aubrey Summers. She has a stalker who is threatening those close to her, he if solves that case, he gets another bonus. Problem is Aubrey does not want a security guard, she also has trust issues and a bratty attitude. Fergus sees right through her attitude that she uses it as a wall of defense, not allowing anyone to get close to her. Having her act down pat, he figures out a way to gain control of the situation and when her defenses are down, he likes what he sees. The chemistry between these two was sparks flying electric, and it was great to watch their relationship morph into more. I will admit I did not care for Aubrey and her attitude in the beginning, but she redeems herself and when she sees what a family could really be like, she was in awe, with that and with PopPop. I loved how everything played out in this book, the writing, plotting and world building is fantastic, as is the character growth and development. Besides the charming Collin’s moments, there is plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Mari Carr, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 As for the narration, Lee Daniels' and Connor Brown's outstanding performances continue to bring the characters to life. In addition to having consistent character voices, the audio quality of their recordings has been excellent. I love how they take each role and make it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. Lee Daniels nailed it as Aubrey brought out all aspects of her personality, from her bratty side to her caring side. Connor Brown played Fergus’ role perfectly, grasping his inner Alpha naturally. Both were equally amazing performing the various secondary roles, accents and all. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Amazing dual narration from Lee Daniels and Connor Brown
Fergus Collins had spent nine years in the military, but he is back home ready to start a career and security company. Just as he starting his company , he gets an offer as a security guard for Aubrey Summers. She has a stalker. If solves that case, he gets another bonus. Problem is Aubrey does not want a security guard, has trust issues and a bratty attitude. The chemistry between these two is amazing.

Amazing story!
Aubrey has not had it easy. Everyone always believes if famous, life must be easy. But being taken advantage by her mother and now receiving stalkerish notes, life is a bit crazy. But is a bodyguard necessary? Fergus is home from the military, and is offered the job of guarding Aubrey. Really? A rockstar? But these two find out that sometimes life happens for a reason. Aubrey, independent, finds herself attracted to the dominant man. Fergus finds that there is much more than meets the eye when it comes to Aubrey. But will he be able to keep her safe from the unseen danger? This series is so good! First, I love the couple. This opposites attract story had me from the very start. I love stories with entertainers, and throw in the dominance of Fergus and I am sold. And anytime I can hang out with the Collins family, especially with the warmth and wisdom of Poppop, I am all in! This book is spicy, suspenseful and has the family feel that keeps me coming back for more! Loved it!
Narrated by Connor Brown and Lee Daniels, I felt right at home. These two work so well together with voices that compliment each other. Brown becomes the alpha male that Fergus is. Take control, but have a heart of gold and nerves of steel with a growlie sound, he could not have been better. Then add the Irish brogue in with members of the family and it's gold. Daniels plays the stubborn, talented Aubrey, giving all the emotions she goes through, and there are a lot! Each one easily felt right down to the core! These two are wonderful and made the listen!
