About this listen

A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself. A prince in danger must decide who to trust. A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings. Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war.

In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light.

Wicked Saints is the thrilling start to Emily A. Duncan’s devastatingly Gothic Something Dark and Holy trilogy.

Something missing

I loved the idea and the world but wouldn't pick up the next book. Some of the writing felt a bit awkward at times, and the plot reveals towards the end didn't make complete sense to me. Overall it massively felt like a debut.

What are Saints?

This book might require you to trust it just a little to get into it, but once you're in... what a journey!

I loved it!

In the past month I was seeing this book everywhere! It was all over Twitter and instagram and everyone was saying how amazing and incredible and everything they wanted in the book this book was! And... it is true! My hopes were super high and I was so afraid that this book won’t meet my high expectations but it did! I definitely want to read it again when it will come out in the uk!

The story is new and fresh, characters are not 100% black or white, you immediately fall in love with every single one of them. The story is very interesting and plot was engaging from the very beginning!

When I heard last words my only reaction was: “Nooooooo!!!!!.....”
and no audible, I didn’t enjoy it, I want more, how dare you to finish it so quickly! 😂

Wicked Saints

It took until chapter 19 for me to really get into this book. I think the male narrator made it harder for me as spoken rather robotic for me, even through the characters accents were perfect. Just the parts inbetween. The book left me torn and wanting more

A little confused

I really like this book and there are some good characters but I found that I was thoroughly confused by the end. I also could found that it didn't feel finished or seem to come to any kind of resolution. I would recommend but wouldn't read again myself.

They sound like meerkats from compare the market

People don't have accents when they are speaking their native tongue. This pretend Slavic accent sounds like a cruel parody while the actual Slavic words borrowed from my native Polish are butchered beyond belief. This is painful, because the story is very interesting.
