Great story but
Great story but it felt a bit slow to start but once it did it was great but I kept feeling there was something missing or waiting for something to happen, which is why I gave the story 4 out 5 starts, the ending was not what I was expecting which I love, the narrator Brian Callanan did a great job easy to listen to, Hoping there's going to be another book if there is I can't wait to listen to it.

"A snuggle of sloths, a sloth of bears."
Twelve years after the murder of his friend, Brad Keller was building a fence for his neighbour when a message arrived from the Agency. His skill as a Pathfinder Tracker was needed - to find his friend's killer believed to be in Alaska. But times have changed since he last worked for the Agency ten years ago and the help he re!did upon was simply not going to happen.
Whitefish is a cleverly constructed story, interesting and, at times, unexpected, with a very human main protagonist telling the story from his first person perspective, bringing an immediacy to the action. Brian Callahan captures this in his excellent narration, becoming Brad Keller as he pretends to be a photographer in his attempts to find his .an. A good performance with excellent pacing, modulation and character voices.
I received a freely gifted complimentary copy of Whitefish, at my request, from the rights holder, via Free Audiobook Codes. Thank you. It was a very enjoyable thriller, and one I can highly recommend.

Brilliant!
Whitefish is definitely going to be one of my books of the year. This debut novel from Russ Myers is superb. The characters are very well defined and mostly likeable. The descriptions of the Alaskan terrain is excellent. As a totally blind listener I could well imagine the difficulties facing the main character Brad Kelso. The storyline is addictive and I couldn't stop listening until the book ended. Brian Callanan was the perfect narrator for this story, clear and emotional bringing everyone to life. Already looking forward to the second book next year!
. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a good clean adventure mystery.
