Stunning, intense, gritty, superb narration
Wow, what a brilliant story. Intense, gritty with superb detailed morally grey characters. John Winter ex soldier, ex mercenary has his retirement destroyed by a brutal act, and seeks a brutal revenge. I loved it, a work full of military detail, slow and intense build up, plots within plots, where nothing and no one is quite what they seem. what really enhanced the story is the flawless narration by Malk Williams who nails every accent and there are many and keep you listening with a great voice. i have already bought the rest of the trilogy.

Excellent Yarn ...
An interesting scenario but the author knows his stuff. Well read by Malk Williams... Good technical descriptions add to the story.

A must read.
A fantastic book and performed just brilliantly. It’s fast paced and action packed. The characters have real depth and I made an instant connection with them. If you are a fan of Tom Clancy or Mike Lunnon-Wood you will love this. I will be recommending this to all my friends!

Fast paced and good Storyline

Great story, winter isn't a superhero but a retired operator with lessening physical powers helped by mental strength from age and experience.

Wouldn’t bother
Not a great story and the characters were nigh on impossible to get behind in my humble opinion. I finished it but was totally disengaged by the end. Wouldn’t recommend.

Not for me
I couldn't get into the story, I was over half way through, had to stop, the storyline didn't make sense and too many characters I didn't buy into, just wasn't for me.
