About this listen
“A profound darkness radiates from this book, yet each whisper conveys an unnatural beauty. Crina has woven a surreal think piece on the soul of horror.” (Felix Blackwell, author of In the Devil's Dreams)
Nightmares and creatures,
Trapped individuals,
Childhood ghosts,
Drops of rain, drops of blood,
Stars and snowflakes,
Trees, and roots, and birds, and flames,
Life, Death, and ultimately, Light.
These short, dark stories
will captivate the heart and imagination.
Hauntings might occur.
You have been warned.

Memorable
This is a bargain. I got to listen 12 amazing stories for the price of one.
It was quite easy to listen to, and for one who does not explore the audiobook world too often, I got to say that this one does open the appetite.
I felt some of the stories should have been explored in their own books like:
'Toward the Dark', 'Stars and Snowflakes', 'The Perfume Shop' and 'Pricolici'. Or maybe this is just my mind trying to grab desperately onto something that could keep these stories alive (same as you do when your favourite show is nearing its end).
As a more thorough analysis, the author, being a female, does 'use' male protagonists in most of these lovely stories, and it does this really well (I am a male, and felt like she was lurking through my mind). Also, most of the protagonists she employs in these short stories are 'the good guy/girl', but it turns out that this 'tree' has some 'bad apples' too. So expect the unexpected, you might end up liking a character who will end up being a murderer, and not by mere accident, but rather repeatedly and with intention, to be revealed to you once you're too far gone down the 'love the character lane'.
The narrator did an awesome job. I had read this book a few weeks ago so I didn't expect to still be scared while listening to it these weeks later, but I was. It's quite memorable.
Good lines that still bleed through my mind: "the wood bitten by the jaws of time"and "Time has a funny way of passing through here".
I would classify these stories as pertaining to the erotic, horror and mystery realms.
I do recommend this book, especially if you do look for a quick, but at the same time, pleasureful listen.

Bluring the lines between dreams and reality.
With a varied mixture of gothic urban dreamscapes and wilderness filled with mysticism, Wispers and Other Strange Stories is a wonderful collection of provocative tales, that circumvent the boundaries between the conscious and subconscious mind, leaving the reader questioning what is real and what is nightmarish fantasy?

A creepy campfire classic
Don’t listen to these stories on your own in the dark! A wonderful collection of eerie and spine tingling short stories.
Stars and snowflakes was my instant favourite in this collection. Surreal and spooky. Just as it should be. We’ve all heard someone shouting out for help. But what happens if we dare to investigate? Listen and you’ll find out.
