About this listen

A tragic past. A fresh victim. Whisper House doesn’t kill and tell.

Finn took the girls to the beaches of Mexico to unwind. Emmie couldn’t wait to leave. It’s difficult to enjoy paradise as a third wheel. But after returning to the bitter Minnesota winter, she’s devastated to discover her life in ruins.

As she struggles to recover, a mysterious stranger makes her an offer she can’t refuse: Confront the insidious spirit in Whisper House. But selling her gift for profit doesn’t feel right, and the recent vacation has strained their relationships. Is the gang really falling apart?

Pushed to the limits of her skills and endurance, Emmie faces her greatest enemy—herself—to save her friends from a relentless spirit hellbent on making them permanent residents.

Whisper House is the fourth novel in a new paranormal mystery series that delivers an unsolved murder, ghostly mysteries, and a twist of horror. Fans of Wendy Wang, Darcy Coates, Abe Moss, Cheryl Bradshaw, or Heather Graham will love this exciting new supernatural suspense audiobook.

haunted and haunted

Amazing narration from Kasi Hollowell

This the fourth book in this great series. Emmie , Sarah and Finn investigate a murder in a house, called the Whisper House and is rented out as 'Haunted' hotel . The emotions and rivalries grow and become very strong between at least of the two of the team. They fight against the clock as characters from the past try to use the team to complete their own agenda. The past and present blend together. The pain of loss causes future problems. Loved this book, the scary level was so much higher. Brilliant.

Haunting Victorian feel

This fourth book in the series of Emmie is excellent.
A lot is at stake in this book. We meet someone from Emmie's past, someone she has forgotten.
For the first time, Emmie and Sarah are using their powers for profit, and the task is strange, hard, and might be too much for the three friends.
I like the way the book struggles with metaphysics, time, and ghosts. It might be a bit much to the genre, but I enjoyed the entire part about the mystics and how the past was part of the now through the art and architecture in the house.

I have read four of Rasmussen's books for the past six days, and I have found that he has a problem with mothers. It's for sure a returning theme. I'm not sure that I have anything against it, I just recognized it. It could also have something to do with the fact that I have been emersed in books the past few days.

I still like the books and the universe, and even though my hopes for a romance between Emmie and Sarah, I find the writing of Rasmussen very entertaining and will keep an eye out for further books in the series.

Amazing

Really enjoying this series. The character development of the gang is pretty awesome. The new mystery and a crack between the team makes for a very interesting story. The narration is also very good.
