Elizabeth finds herself totally isolated when the local Indian women are afraid to even communicate with her. The Delaney's thought they had already faced the most crushing disappointment of their lives when they saw little Sammy disappear from view in the arms of his father. Restfully beautiful
I am so enjoying this series of books, they are so interesting. They give insight into the Canadian land in times gone past. The job of the Mounties and their wives as they live with the native population. The place of their faith in their work and the joys, trials and sorrows they endured. I thoroughly recommend. Very easy listening.
