Summary
Stacy Lowe had as close to an idealistic life as one could imagine: she had a loving husband and a baby on the way. When a tragedy strikes her and her husband though, she struggles with it. By the time she has her little girl, she can’t seem to handle anything in her life, so she flees.
Thirteen years later, while living a charmed life in her new town, Stacy has been far removed from her days of old. That is, until a person from her past shows up and changes her life forever. One question forms in her mind: can she really leave her problems behind her, or will they end up catching up to her?

Processing the loss of a child
This is a novel about the fall out from a miscarriage and the emotional damage that can saturate and spread to other parts of someone’s life.
The main character, Stacy Lowe, grapples outwardly with her own healing and, later, reconciliation as the reader journeys in leaps and bounds of time along with her.
Stacy must untangle the decisions she made earlier in her life, starting with reconnecting with an eager daughter whom she abandoned years before and the estranged ex-husband she tried to forget.
By the end of the novel, Stacy has gained lessons, peace, and happiness through her faith in God and is able to piece together the parts of her life that she thought were irremediable.
This is a great book for someone who has made it through or needs help processing a miscarriage.
The voice actor, Eowyn Sky, has a smooth and calming reading voice while narrating and is able to consistently impress the listener with a myriad of character vocals and varying cadences of speech. I would definitely like to hear more from her!
