About this listen

I never imagined my new roommate would be the man I’d actually fall for. Though I don’t get close to the people I sleep with, he’s been my exception. Archer acts emotionally unavailable while he focuses on starting over, but our connection is too strong to ignore.

He’s rugged on the outside and sweet on the inside - the opposite of my usual type. I see the way his eyes gaze up and down my body, making it harder to keep my feelings in check. Knocking down his walls is no easy task, especially with my brother interfering, but I refuse to give up.

When lines are crossed and emotions bubble over, trouble finds us. We both have pasts that have leaked into our present - now I’m scared it’ll destroy the one secret we’ve been keeping.

Wanting You Close is Book Two in the Archer and Everleigh duet, and must be listened to in order.

My Thoughts on Wanting You Close

After another shocking ending to part one of this duet, I was more than ready to jump into part two and see what was going to happen with Everleigh. Obviously, I knew nothing truly terrible could happen to her since it would defeat the whole point of the duet, but I needed to see how bad she was. Who was really behind it? And how were all of her and Archer’s issues going to be resolved in order for them to finally get their happily ever after. That journey was really what made this story so good. There were plenty of moments that surprised me in how it played out. Some of the bad guys were expected but it was the how things were resolved with them that I enjoyed hearing about. It was all so well plotted and laid out by Kennedy Fox. And it was fabulously narrated by Lia Langola and Tor Thom. I have yet to be disappointed in a performance from either of these narrators and I love continuing to hear them together on these books. I look forward to more from this author duo and these narrators both together and apart in future.

Edge of my seat

I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this drop to my kindle and as soon as it did, I threw my reading plans out the window because I HAD to know how Archer and Everleigh's story played out. The angst was ramped up because the secrets from both their pasts come home to roost and the tension is high. Not only the that but the steam gets turned up a notch or two as well and I love seeing Archer and Everleigh coping with the outside stress together and that sure makes their bonds tighter. I cannot wait to see what this duo comes out with next but I guarantee I'll eat it up. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

yes, you should continue

As a duet you need to listen to the previous book and yes, you should continue with these two characters. It was an excellent part 2. There was lots of action and twists. Tons of $exy times. Great narration.

Fantastic Finish to the series

Gah!
This book 😍
I didn’t think it was possible for me to fall even more for this couple, but somehow, Kennedy Fox made it happen.

Protective, loyal, loving, and kind Archer.
Fun, provocative, loud, and unashamed Everleigh.
They were perfect for each other.

Despite the drama, threats, betrayals, they fought for their love.
"Archerleigh" gave me all the feels.

Lia and Tor did a magnificent job with narration.

A great conclusion to the series

Wanting You Close picks off right where Forcing You Away left us on that Kennedy Fox style cliff hanger. Let me tell you the drama this couple go through did not end there either. The writing duo through everything at this couple and I loved how they fought through it all and came out the other side.

Archer and Everleigh were a different couple in some ways to what I expected but I loved them all the same. I thought the drama would come from their relationship with each other but that was not the case, they were each others strength and I thought that element worked perfectly in the end.

I really loved that Everleigh isn't afraid to really go for what she wants, and these two together are combustible. With the friendship circle involving the other couples from the Lawton Ridge series I really enjoyed this final book because it brought everything to a nice close. It was like getting an extended epilogue for each partnership and that for fans of the series is the perfect way to tie things up in a pretty bow, Bravo.

Archer & Everleigh!

Everleigh and Archer couldn’t be more different from each other or a better match for each other. Her feisty , outgoing and positive personality is a perfect foil for the steadfast protector in him who would do anything for the woman he loves.

They are quickly realizing that not everyone wants them to be happy and are willing to go to drastic lengths to ensure that happens. Just when you think the danger is over hang on for another twist but they prove that as long as they have each other their love can overcome anything.

I enjoyed Everleigh and Archer both as individuals and as a couple. The chemistry between them is intense and their love unwavering as they fight for each other and the life they want to have together. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they ensure you feel all the same emotions that the characters are feeling.

🥰🥰🥰🥰

I can’t believe another of my favourite series is over, finished, Caput! The Lawton Ridge series will have special spot in my heart, i have loved every person from the very beginning but I think Everleigh and Archer take the cake and are my fave duet. I loved super protectiveness for his family and his dirty mouth, I loved Everleigh for her attitude, her confidence and her passions. Wanting You Close had me sitting on the edge of my seat with anticipation wondering what was going to happen next or what filthy sentance Archer would come out with 😂 WUC was a great ending to Everleigh and Archer’s story but a perfect ending to the series
