About this listen

Family ties. Buried lies. A life on the line.

Detective Sebastian Clifford and his partner Lucinda "Birdie" Bird are about to embark on their most challenging case yet when Lady Angelica Charing tasks them with finding the son she secretly gave away when she was only sixteen.

Time's running out. This long-lost son isn't just a missing puzzle piece; he's the last hope for a life-saving kidney transplant for his dying half-brother. The stakes couldn't be higher.

With the Charing family's reputation on the line, Clifford and Birdie must operate under the radar, cutting through years of concealed truths.

As the deadline approaches, they race to find the missing son and persuade him to make a life-altering choice. Can they solve the case and save a life before time runs out?

Dive into a world of hidden identities and urgent choices in Wake the Past.

Story was a little predictable

Jonathan Keeble brilliant as always. I enjoyed the premise and the characters, and don't want to give away any spoilers

Excellent

Great story - dealing with difficult issues. Characters were well rounded and the development of figures from previous books added further depth. The introduction of Kiera allowed us to see another side to Sebastian. Hope there are more books to come.

Pretty good series.

Keebles performance is as good as ever but I think he got a cold half way through as the characters all sounded a little bunged up towards the end. I've started looking for new books based on which ones he narrates, I think he could read the phone book and make it interesting. The story is pretty good also and I like the characters so while I'm waiting for the next book I'm going to start the other series, Walker & Cavendish.
