This book is jam packed with advice and exercises and encouraging material from not the great Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt but a plethora of other great voice artists, directors and more.

Not only did this book give me tonnes of information and lots to reference (I will absolutely be using this book again in the future to brush up on some things) and practice, but it also was very thought provoking and motivational and I found it urging me to take further action than I already have in my career. The contents and encouragement push me to be more optimistic and to take even more daily action, to not stress about things outside of my control as much and to — most importantly — remember to have fun!

Thoroughly engaging and conversational performance from both Yuri and Tara that make them feel like they've been your friends for life (which, maybe in a round about way they have been if you have been fortunate to hear a lot of their work over the years as I have).

100% recommend.

There were a couple overlooked pickups though which weren't edited out which were a little distracting but it's not even close to the end of the world!

I do wish the chapters were listed more clearly on this platform however than just Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc.

Owned the hardcopy of this book for a while now, definitely something of a bible if you want to work in the industry, and just a solid collection of information if you have a passing interest in it. Mildly surprised by some mistakes in the audiobook version - there are occasional sneezes/stutters that really should have been edited out, which is fairly shocking to see from two titans of the industry! Would be a full 5 stars if not for those slight errors.

This book is a great foundation starter for anyone starting out in the world of voice acting and narration. Mainly written for the north American market but you will still find lots of useful hints and tips where ever you are In the world. Highly recommended book. I will buy the paperback now.

I bought this book so that it will help me in general with the way I speak on podcasts and as a keynote speaker. There was plenty for me there. Also, the technical side for professionals is also very detailed.

Always love to listen to books narrated by the authors themselves and if the authors happen to be the masters of their trade, it certainly the next level.

Highly recommended!!

P.S: there is no PDF attached to this book but there is downloadable zip file on the website with all the info from the workbook.

This is the kind of book that I will keep coming back to. Brilliant narration by the authors, both awesome voice actors. I learned a lot just from listening to their narration style. I am going to need to get the kindle edition as well because the resources section at the back was difficukt to follow. I thought the audio book could definately be improved with a PDF download of the charts and exercises
