I loved this story! So many deep issues are questioned in this gripping story set in the DRC. The emotions of both main characters - a vet trying to save 3 baby chimpanzees and a doctor working in a humanitarian aid camp - are raw and real. The emotional rollercoaster they go through is gripping, sad and questioning. The story is pacy and as a listener, you feel as if you too are on their fight/ flight journey to safety. The narration is faultless. An easy listen that you can't put down.

Being a vet myself I was drawn to it but there was nothing plausible about the story, just a typical pseudo-romance in an unlikely setting.
