Summary

Viking Slave is book one in the thrilling Dragonheart series. A gripping tale filled with action and adventure set in the early years of the ninth century.

A young Saxon boy and his mother are captured in a Viking raid. Fate transforms his destiny and, thanks to an ageing one-armed warrior, he wins his freedom and becomes one with the Vikings. Clan rivalries force Dragonheart and his new Jarl to sail the seas searching for a new home. Landing on the Isle of Man, they must fight for their very survival with enemies old and new seeking their destruction.

Griff Hosker… excellent and gripping writing…

Good plot… good narration, can’t wait for the next book! On par with Bernard Cornwell.

A good Viking story.

A good yarn from the Vikings’ perspective. Beautifully narrated by the master of many voices, Marston York.

Viking Slave

Brilliant story from starting finish I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it, but I am a pretty blood thirsty person anyway, the more the better, and I have Viking DNA.

Lovely Suprise

downloaded this as a free interim listen until my
latest credit came in. I'm a big Bernard Cornwell fan and love historical fiction in general. This was a great story, with really great characters, excellently brought to life by the narrator. Would definitely recommend it and look forward to the next instalment

Great story well written. The narrator is absolutely superb. His characterisations amazingly believable and distinguishable from each other.

Amusing narration

l hadn't read/listened to anything in this genre before and found it very enjoyable. l didn't envy the narrator having to cope with so many different voices/accents but loved the 'toothless' voice best although also couldn't help but giggle at it. Well done.

Well told story

Unfortunately I found the vocal interpretation of many voices too extreme to follow at times and this spoilt the novel somewhat
