Como obra migrante, Viaje en blanco y azul evoca aspectos positivos y negativos de ambos países, pero lo que vuelve con más frecuencia es el contraste entre la nieve en Canadá y el sol de España. Ese tema da lugar a uno de mis pasajes preferidos, un pasaje muy poético: “Expongo mi cuerpo-libro al pleno sol hasta que se sequen todas la páginas del frío libro de febrero, de la fiebre de febrero, hasta que las hojas se vuelvan árbol, hasta que la primavera triunfe sobre el invierno, hasta que los fantasmas se hagan amigos, hasta que la nieve se haga savia y jarabe de arce otra vez”.

Esta obra, con su título tan apropiado, constituye una contribución interesante a la literatura migrante de España y de Quebec. Annette Hayward
