Summary

Soft porn thriller, with unexpected-turn formula
I find it worrisome that so many resonate with toxic relationships, cliche-riddled writing and boring characters that don't learn anything and just end themselves up in deeper misery than where they started. Lot of explicit and detailed sex scenes, uneventful dialogues, an unwarranted love story, and heaps of minor irritations. (Don't people in NYC ever say thank you? They don't get PTSD washing the brain of their fellow human off their face, because they need to get to a meeting? If the main theme is the nature of truth, it's not very elegant to call your protagonist Verity. If she is so self conscious, kick-ass woman, why would she take her husbands name? Why is there such a focus on sex? Why write on a diaper - does that lady have no phone?)
People, read more books! Read better books! If this already amazes you, you can have your mind blown to pieces by literature! Try Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier for a starter.
I mean this book is a page turner, but what have we learnt in the end? Something about the power of the written word and the relativity of reality, but with so many eye rolls, my head hurts.
Two stars because she wrote in full sentences and she put effort into it - and the narrator was very good.
