A realm of myth.
Darkness is reborn.

After years of exile, Cora has returned to her rightful place as princess. She has her title, her home, and even the man she loves. But a devastating secret threatens to shatter everything she’s worked for...including her heart.

Newly engaged, Prince Teryn is determined to get to know the woman he is to marry. But when he becomes separated from his betrothed, his plans come crashing down. In a moment of anger, he makes one fatal mistake that unleashes a new reign of darkness.

Teryn and Cora find themselves on opposite sides of an ancient prophecy, tangled in a web of lies, legend, magic, and memories. Evil has returned to the land of Lela. This time, no one will ever see it coming.

Veil of Mist

The series continues. I enjoyed this book. The story line is great. I like the growth of the characters. I did like that this book ends on a HFN in a way instead of such a cliffhanger. Can't wait to see where this series ends.

Veil of mist

This is the second book in a trilogy, the story is good. It continues from where the last one stopped but you could read it as a stand alone book if you wished. It is written from different characters telling their story as it happens and this book gives you more information of why things are happening. I enjoyed listening to the story as it has been developing forward to the other books.

An unexpected gem

When I got the first book of the Lela trilogy I honestly expected a cheesy dud, but was pleasantly surprised. Book 2 of the trilogy was just as good! I love the characters and the storyline, the love stories and the tangled web of kingdoms and ruling and magic. Another thing that makes these books stand out is they are each a separate story from a continuing storyline. You aren’t left with a cliffhanger that makes you crazy for the next book, yet it was good enough that you look forward to the next book.

There are a couple characters that are annoying but I keep telling myself “they are growing”, and they are.

The narration is not my favorite. She makes all the men sound evil and angry all the time. I love how the narrator tries to differentiate pacing, accents and voices between characters, but some of it is a bit annoying.
