Beautiful from start to finish
This was such a beautiful story filled with emotion and heartbreak. An FMC who is determined yet kind, a MMC with a heart of gold, both highly successful within their respective careers but hung up on the one that got away. The perfect small town romance to sink yourself into!

The hole story, loved every piece of it!

Bring out all the awws
Another Rebecca Yarros typical. I’m a sucker for the first love kind of story and this did not disappoint.
I was just expecting a few more twists and turns. But the love story made up for it a bit.

Contemporary romance
Contemporary romance read by Teddy Hamilton and Carly Robins who do a good job.
Pure romance isn’t my usual genre but have enjoyed other Yarros books so wanted to try it as available in the Plus catalogue.
The two main characters are Allie a principal ballerina who returns home to recover from an injury, and Hudson a coast guard rescue swimmer who had a history as teenagers and reconnect.
It contains open bedroom scenes, I do find them a bit cringy but not sure how it compares to others in this genre. I don’t know how to rate the spice level, but there’s a good mix of story. There’s an additional thread with Juniper which is the best part for me.
I liked Hudson’s character, but struggled with the colder Allie for much of the book but she won me over in the end. It’s a slower paced but entertaining enjoyable listen.
