Summary
After the success of Kennedy’s first collection, Dark Thoughts, he brings you Vampiro and Other Strange Tales of the Macabre. This one contains stories inspired by TV shows from his youth, such as Tales from the Crypt,’ Eerie India, The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. Inside, you will find tales of a carnival vampire, a town overtaken by a special kind of Easter bunnies, tales of the insane, a journey through Hell at Christmas time, and many other shorts to make your hair stand on end. Some are funny, some are gross and some touch upon the evil of your fellow man.
Come and join us, but be warned… you may never want to leave.
Praise for Vampiro and Other Strange Tales of the Macabre
"Gruesome, outrageous, and extraordinarily entertaining: VAMPIRO AND OTHER STRANGE TALES OF THE MACABRE presents twisted tales of demonic possession, brutal monsters, revenge, and something like demented glee. It’s everything you’d want—and expect—from acclaimed author Kevin J. Kennedy." (Eric J. Guignard, award-winning author and editor, including That Which Grows Wild and Doorways to the Deadeye)
"Kennedy’s work is getting more impressive with each publication. I had a great time with this collection. You should seriously check it out." (Andrew Lennon, Author of Ode to Death)
"A nerve-wracking stroll through the bad neighborhood of a brilliant horror author's dark imagination." (Chuck Anderson, author of Ocean Gores and Sin City Succubus)
"Kevin Kennedy puts together a horrific selection box of tales.... Some serious, some tongue in cheek, all disturbing... That leave you wanting to devour another set." (Lex H. Jones, author of Nick and Abe & The Old One and the Sea)
"This collection is a perfect read for any time of year if you’re looking for a wonderful collection of creepy and strange tales!" (Erica Robyn from the Erica Robyn Reads blog)
"These stories are not for the weak of heart, they are wonderfully nasty, deliciously depraved and at times downright licentious. (William C. Bitner Jr, Books in my Library blog)
"With Vampiro, Kennedy takes you on a wild horror ride through the depraved, the horrifying, and the humorous, envisioning smart worlds and fresh spins on old terrors. (Christina Bergling, author of Savages & The Rest Will Come)

nice wee collection of horror tales
A nice wee collection of horror tales here. I think my favourite was Christmas In Hell, which was a departure from the rest which are more typically horrific and creepy.

Disturbing, bizarre and darkly humorous stories
I was offered the audiobook by the author and this is my honest review.
This is not my first book by Kevin J. Kennedy and as the others it didn't disappoint.
It's a collection of short stories that range from the very disturbing to the bizarre and also darkly humorous. As always Kevin J. Kennedy manages to entartain with his originality and his very unique stories that are never what you would expect!
I loved all of the stories but a couple really made me reflect as they could well be real and for this reason even more scary!
Although my favourites were "Thirteen Voices" and "Christmas in Hell", I thoroughly enjoyed the killer rabbits and wanted to know more!
The only downside was the narrator which I didn't like but this is a personal opinion of course!
If you've never tried Kevin J. Kennedy's stories, this collection is a very good example of his skills and imagination and I'm sure you'll come back for more!
