Summary

If you are ready to discover the single nerve that can unlock your body's natural self-healing abilities and help you get rid of physical and mental health disorders, and transform your life, then keep reading...

Nature has equipped us with a natural self-healing mechanism that has the potential to enable our bodies to heal and repair themselves. This natural self-healing mechanism is in all of us, and all you need to access its knowledge on how the vital organ systems in the body work to bring this about.

By building on your understanding of:

  • The central nervous system
  • The autonomic nervous system components and functions
  • The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

You will gain insights into the physiological processes that most impact our physical and psychological health. This audiobook then delves deep into the complex and most significant cranial nerve and its sensory and motor functions in the body.

Further on the power of the Vagus nerve, details on specific areas of health that are directly related to its proper function are detailed including:

  • Cardiac health
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Among others

Beyond the physiological processes, the polyvagal theory that details the role of the Vagus nerve in achieving optimum emotional and mental balance is discussed, and the various functions of the three branches of the vagal system are explained.

This audiobook will arm you with tools on how to look out for symptoms of poor vagal activity such as:

  • Mood disorders
  • Chronic inflammation
  • Weight gain
  • And many more

Beyond the symptoms to watch out for, a major part of the audiobook is dedicated to different techniques and methods that can be used to stimulate the vagus nerve to ensure a heightened vagal tone. We look at vagal stimulation through techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, and many more.

This audiobook is a practical guide and essential tool that is meant to equip you in achieving great mental and physical health by enabling you to hack into the power of the Vagus nerve and derive all the health benefits that come with the body’s natural self-healing mechanisms.

The “Vagus Nerve” is useful for anyone who experiences anxiety, stress, depression or any other sickness. Its scientifically-backed advice and proven strategies will help you to overcome chronic illness and finally reach wellness.

Good book, bad performance

The topic of the book is very interesting but the performance of the narrator is extremely distracting as he keeps stumbling over the more difficult words. There's even one incident where you hear him as he gets annoyed at not pronouncing the word correctly over and over, that hasn't been edited out. Really prevents getting into the flow of the book.
