About this listen
How would you respond?
Your child has a meltdown in the grocery store parking lot because you didn't get his favorite cereal.
Your 15-year-old throws his phone at the wall because you won't let him go to a college party that weekend.
Your seven-year-old and nine-year-old fight constantly, and you're afraid someone will get seriously injured.
Parenting is hard. It doesn't come with a manual, and sometimes punishments seem like the only way to fix undesirable behavior. In Unpunished, successful parent coach and mom of two Michelle Kenney, MEd, opens up about her struggle with parenting and how she learned to connect fully with her kids without yelling, punishments, or manipulation. Whether you're a new or seasoned parent, this thoughtful book will walk you through the process of infusing empathy and compassion into your parenting style to restore connection and improve your relationship with your child.

My parenting Bible!
Michelle helps to unpick beliefs we have around parenting, our expectations and how these things can hinder our relationship with our children.
I’ve been listening to Michelle’s podcast for nearly a year now, catching up on older episodes and navigating the great unlearning of all those ingrained parenting beliefs. I cannot recommend Michelle and her connective, hand-in- hand parenting style any more. It’s game changing. The beautiful take-away is that parenting is tough and there is no such thing as perfection; so when we can get on board with that theme we can also come to our children and their upheavals or difficult moments using the same empathy and understanding we would want for ourselves.
