About this listen
My new assistant is all smiles and sunshine—and she’s about to set fire to my cold, grumpy heart.
I've moved to this god-forsaken small town to run the family business. I need to hire a new PA, and the pickings are slim. Some say my irrational expectations are the reason I've gone through assistants quicker than most people refill their coffee. Incompetence is my pet peeve. If that makes me irrational, so be it.
Then, Georgia Reynolds walks into my office. Blonde hair. Sapphire eyes. And a smart mouth that irritates me as much as it turns me on.
On top of being a rock star at her job, she is a ray of freaking sunshine on steroids. I have no patience for it. Nor for the way she flutters around the office like a modern-day Tinkerbell.
She has ridiculous taste in music. Drives an unreasonable form of transportation. And did I mention that I caught her dancing in my closet when I sent her on a simple errand?
My new assistant has somehow become my kryptonite. But I am her boss, and I am not going to be a pathetic cliché. It doesn’t matter that my cold, jaded heart has started beating again. In my world, a beating heart makes you weak. And I do not tolerate weaknesses.

Brilliant!!!!
I love this series and this book. The author is new to me and now I will have to check out all her other series.
The storyline was very enjoyable and the romance was sweet and sexy at the same time. The Reynolds family are a mix of great characters too and added so much to the story. The dialogue was so good and it made me giggle and sometimes tear up.
I cannot recommend this book more strongly. I hope the next book comes out soon.
Thank You Laura.

They're my new fave couple!
This is the second book in the Cottonwood Cove series, and I'm already obsessed with The Reynolds!
Georgia is the youngest Reynolds, but she's not a brat or spoiled, she's actually the most kind and caring and she have the biggest heart!
Boss Man though...(I'll call him like she does, cause it's freaking adorable). He's damaged. He's grumpy and serious, but when they start their work dynamics/friendship, you start to see why he's so cold and detached, but also how much he reaaaally needs everything that The Reynolds have to offer so freely. Love, friendship, family, support, loyalty and so much more... He also revealed himself as such a dirty talker! Love it!
You'll fall in love with them, just like they fell for each other! Their romance started with a kiss that they couldn't deny, and then escalated fluidly and passionately to a bond and a forever kind of love!
🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧
Narrated by Andi Arndt and Tor Thom and it was amazing! Andi is always great and Tor did good with all the grumpy or dirty talk!

I LOVE THEM!!!
The way I loved reading the book was out of this world, but listening to Maddox and Georgia fall in love was just perfect! I absolutely loved everything, the performance was outstanding, you could feel their love, hurt, anger, and redemption so clearly! You should definitely give this audiobook a try, you won’t regret it!

Tink and her Bossman
Under the Star is such a heartwarming read.
I loved every second of this story - this was for sure one I could not put down.
Cotton Cove series is my first from Laura Pavlov and I will say she is quickly becoming an instant buy when it comes to small town romance.
I love a small town grumpy/sunshine and Laura word smithed this trope to perfection.
Georgia (Tink) is so fierce, she's head strong, and sassy. I knew from the start that she was going to be a force to bring Maddox (Bossman) to his knees, and boy did she.
I really enjoyed how Laura doesn't need a dramatic break up to get your emotions in a tailspin.
I was lucky enough to listen to an advanced copy of this book and I will say, that as always Andi did a fantastic job but there was something different in her voice with this book, and I loved it!
Tor Thom is a new narrator to me, and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed his voice.

Oh, my heart!!
Oh, my heart can't take this! Laura Pavlov knows how to write heartwarming, small-town romance so well and I loved this book! I love everything Laura writes and this book was no different! this was a grumpy sunshine romance with an employee-boss twist. It was full of swoon-worthy moments, flirty and witty banter between the MC and FMC. This was such an enjoyable read. Laura never disappoints!
5 Stars!

This one definitely has the grumpy (H) /sunshine (h) vibes. Georgina becomes a PA for Maddox family business thats in the publishing industry. Maddox has deeper emotional background grief and Georgina doesn't have the best relationships. I just didn't agree with how Georgina acted a few times, as her bubbliness was OTT especially when she was at her boss' house. Plus she didn't tell her family her ex stole her car. I do think some things could have been added to help with the plot transitions, it just went by too fast with how the couple got together. Overall it was a good read.
Narrated by Andi Arndt and Tor Thom were perfect especially Tor's.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Under the stars
One of my favorite Laura books 🥰
Georgia: funny, quirky, full of life, cannot be defeated by anything
Maddox: the grumpy billionaire, who thinks his heart is cold as stone
You wouldn't imagine that those two fit together so perfectly, but they bring ray and su shine in each other's life.
For the audiobook: Andi Arndt and Tor Thom did an awsome job!

Tink and Bossman
Book 2 romance set in Cottonwood Cove. Boss/employee, grumpy/sunshine, small town kinda love.
Georgia is all sunshine and positivity and the best at odd sports. Maddox is grumpy, cut off and doesn't do relationships.
Can Georgia thaw this man's heart... and face? And will anyone ever beat her at table tennis?
I'm really looking forward to book 3 in this series as they just keep getting better.

My favorite
I loved the first story and this one was just as good😊
Maddox and a Georgia was so cute together. I loved their first meeting. They immediately had this adorable banter back and forth. I loved that Georgia didn't didn't temp herself. She stayed the person she was, didn't change because of Maddox. He was a grump but in the end he had to succumb to Georgia's fun and flirty personality.
All in all I loved them. Loved their chemistry, definitely a story you can fall inlove with. Not to mention the amazing narration of Andi Arndt and Tor Thom. Both a favorite of mine and Tor definitely pulled off the grumpy side of Maddox💖💖

Another great small town romance from Laura Pavlov
We return to Cottonwood Cove for the second story in this series which follows Maddox Lancaster and Georgia Reynolds in a grumpy x sunshine, boss x employee and small town romance. This book was absolute perfection as I loved the way their relationship progressed. It started as your typical grumpy boss and sunshine employee where Georgia went above and beyond to do her job to the best of her ability whilst Maddox was trying to avoid her charm but of course he fell for her and hard! Their roles meant that they spent a lot of time together so naturally they slowly fell for one another, the pacing was great no insta love vibes at all. As usual the Reynolds family were such a delight with their interactions and group chat. Laura always brings the right amount of humour and emotions to her books. I can’t wait for Brinkley’s story. The narration was perfect both complimented each other very well.
