Summary
One summer to change her life...
Wanda Williams has always dreamed of leaving her wellies behind her and travelling the world! Yet every time she comes close to following her heart, life always seems to get in the way.
So, when her mother ends up in hospital and her sister finds out she's pregnant with twins, Wanda knows that only she can save the crumbling campsite at the family farm.
Together with her friends in the village, she sets about sprucing up the site, mowing the fields, replanting the allotment and baking homemade goodies for the campers.
But when a long-lost face from her past turns up, Wanda's world is turned upside-down. And under a starry sky, anything can happen...

Fabulous
A change of genre for me, and the perfect listen on a damp day in November during Lockdown 2! The story centres around Wanda, who delays her plans to travel the world to help run the family campsite when her mum is taken into hospital and her sister is expecting twins. The campsite which is in a small village near an almost mountain (just a few feet short) and is quite run down. Each chapter of the book begins with an entry from the Guest Book, and some of them are hilarious!
There are so many wonderful characters in this book, all beautifully described and by the end I felt I knew them all. The descriptions of the village and the mountain and the dark starry skies were wonderful. As expected this is a heartwarming book which is sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but with some darker themes too. It was a joy to listen to
.
The narrator, Claire Morgan, has a gorgeous Welsh accent which is perfect for the book. I could have listened to her all day.
