Summary
Sometimes, the biggest secrets can bring both salvation and destruction.
Emerson Charles grew up luckier than most, going from a difficult life to finding safety and a true home with her stepmother and stepbrother. Years later, when Levi’s in trouble, Emerson will do anything for the brother of her heart, her greatest protector. Even seek the expertise of people who could be more hinderance than help—the men of Blue Halo Security. But she’ll have to play her cards close to her chest. Telling the whole truth could see the team unwilling to assist and Levi in more trouble than ever.
Tyler Morgan’s career in the special forces had barely begun when he was kidnapped by the people behind Project Arma. With that chapter of his life finally put to rest, he runs a security business with men he considers brothers, all of them using their enhanced physical abilities to assist others. But their newest client seems to be harboring secrets behind her pretty amber eyes. He can’t trust Emerson, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. Nor can he let her out of his sight when the danger surrounding her brother increases.
As the risks get higher, and their attraction stronger, Tyler and Emerson are soon embroiled in a deadly race to locate a man only one of them believes is worthy of redemption.

The story continues and it's so good!
Tyler and Emerson. What a fantastic couple! Nyssa Kathryn adds another layer to the Project Arma saga with this one. Emerson is looking for her stepbrother, Levi. He is like a ghost, having the same characteristics as the team. She knows she needs them. The instant Tyler meets her, the instant connection is impossible to break. But what happens next is something I wasn't ready for. The perfect amount of suspense, an intriguing story and a love connection all are there for the taking. Kathryn's characters are so good. Even the ones we love to hate are amazing, adding depth and excitement to the story. She also deals with relevant issues like domestic abuse and PTSD. Plus we get glimpses of all the others we met, even those from the first series! This is a great addition to the series and I can't wait to see what is coming up next!
Troy Duran and Lucy Rivers are fantastic as Tyler and Emerson. Duran has that alpha voice that Tyler needs as Emerson's protector. He brings out all the qualities these men have in spades and keeps him strong with a soft side. Rivers is perfect as Emerson. Emotionally driven, all her feelings are out in the open and Rivers gives her every one. It's a great team for this couple and an incredible listen.

Nailed it
How does this series keep getting better…. (I think I say this every time!)
I think Emerson and Tyler are my favourite couple (so far..) from the Blue Halo squad and I loved how this book came together and how the narrators kept up with this really pacy storyline, keeping the emotional highs going even when the crashing downs happened.
Relationships built on a lie aren’t my favourite generally but I not only loved this, I totally got it, understood and supported Emerson’s reasons for not telling Tyler the whole of it all. I loved how despite her upbringing she had so much love to give and her devotion to Levi and belief in him, whilst acknowledging his imperfections, was so inspiring. Lucy Rivers really narrated this well with Troy Duran, really bringing out the shame and confusion that Emerson felt as well as the depth of Tylers feelings for her even when he felt her betrayal.
I loved how they fell in love, and how easy it was despite the drama surrounding them. The storyline weaved between disconnected events so well before typing them all up skilfully to wrap up in a bow the entire book.
Loved it and as much as I can’t wait for the last 2 books, I’ll hate to see the Arma/Blue Halo teams go.
