The hilarious romantic comedy from NUMBER ONE BESTSELLING AUTHOR Sophie Kinsella

If you suddenly had a friend that only you could see or hear, what would you do?

You could worry that your stressful life has tipped you over the edge and you have lost the plot, big time . . . you could hide under your duvet, hoping that they would go away . . .

Or

You could have some fun . . .
You could make your ex-boyfriend take you back . . .
You could solve the mystery of the dragonfly necklace, make a fool of yourself many times, get your business back on its feet . . .
You could dance with a gorgeous man who just can't resist you . . .

And you could just discover the best friend you ever had.

I'd love a ghost friend!

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone! Twenties Girl is a fun, original story by Sophie Kinsella telling the story of Lara and her Great Aunt Sadie, who has died aged 105. Lara can see her Aunt Sadie as a young 23 year old in her twenties, from the twenties, after Sadie has died.

The way the story is written is superb and the way Eilidh Beaton narrates this book is amazing, not only with the different voices, distinguishing each character, but how Eilidh Beaton expresses the emotions of each character. We feel Lara's hysteria when she first sees Sadie, to her initial reluctance to help along with her delusions that her ex wants her back. We feel Lara's love for her work, love for her parents We feel the love of Lara's father, the worry of her mother. We feel Lara's love and warmth for Sadie and her happiness that she's there. We can even feel that Sadie is a ghost! A ghost who always wanted to feel love, who wanted to be needed and leave a mark on the world.

Sadie has a dying wish, to have her special necklace or she can't be at peace...and Lara will do anything to help her great Aunt get it, reluctantly at first, but soon Sadie and Lara take an emotional and physical adventure, finding some family members will cheat, steal and lie to get what they want. They find honesty is the best policy (after telling their own incredulous lies to stop Sadie's funeral, which is hilarious) and they teach a few lessons of their own, while having a lot of fun!
Sadie and Lara help each other face their own personal demons as well as finding true love.

This is a funny story about family, love, friendship, helping others and honesty.

Sophie Kinsell's story along with Eilidh Beaton narrating, makes you wish you had your own ghost like Aunt Sadie. Someone you can help have their final wish, and like Lara, doing what it takes to get the job done. A ghost you can dance with, laugh with, talk to, help and who helps you. Someone to share their history with and someone to love you like you love them.

This beautifully written and beautifully read.
Highly recommend. You will laugh, cry, love the characters, solve a mystery, work out who Lara and Sadie shouldn't trust and wish you had your own "Aunt Sadie"
