    Micaela “Mickey” Costanzo was a 16-year-old from West Wendover, Nevada, who was murdered by two teens, one of whom she briefly dated. One suspect was identified quickly, but the other surprised investigators by coming forward on her own weeks later.

    Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Kodi Patten and Toni Fratto. Both teens were arrested and charged with the murder of Micaela Costanzo. But Patten and Fratto told several different stories, which clouded the investigation. Investigators had to sift through the evidence to determine precisely what happened to Mickey and who did what. But the motive for the murder remained even more elusive.

Things continuously escalated until the police broke the case wide open. When they did, people were shocked at the person behind the mystery.

I watch a lot of true crime documentaries, but this is the first podcast I've tried and I think it's great. detailed but not extreme and cast are very respectful to the victims and families involved

Everything I am looking for in True Crime

If True Crime stories are a thing for you, this is such a fantastic podcast and I highly recommend it. It does take a couple of episodes to get into it but I am hooked. The hosts Mike and Gibby research their stories very carefully, present the facts, discuss the details. They have perfected the balance of light banter - which is often needed - with the grave seriousness and respect that the victims of all of these horrible crimes deserve. Currently on episode 45, and so pleased to have another 300 or so to go - I find myself looking forward to my long commute now.

Don’t get the hype…

After seeing the very positive reviews I was keen to check this out. Almost an hour in I’d had enough. An interesting topic, but too heavily diluted with banal chat and stating of the obvious throughout. Not for me this one.
