Summary
This wasn't supposed to happen.
The gods should have agreed to fight the giants and let Ragnarök run its course and bring about the end of time. For a new world could only rise from the ashes of the old. But because the gods prophesied to die refused to take part, Yggdrasil - the World Tree - was forced to act before the stalemate led to the annihilation of the nine worlds and its very existence.
And so I was born.
One of the many seeds dispersed by the mighty World Tree, I was teleported through different planes and universes to find a new home where to settle. Eventually, I landed in a strange forest known as the Feverwood. However, this place is nothing like my home world. Here, there are no mighty Vikings or Valkyries, but humans, elves, orcs, and other strange creatures.
If I want to flourish and carry on the World Tree's legacy, I will have to grow my roots and expand my branches towards the sky. But if, at first, I rely on the ambient magic to power my growth, as my Mother did before me, I quickly learn that there's a far more efficient way....

Interesting Concept
I must admit I was somewhat dubious when I began this book but have been pleasantly surprised. The idea that the central character be a tree that creates a dungeon in itself whilst it is growing and trying to become what it is meant to be makes a welcome change from the usual fantasy hero tropes (mage, fighter or rogue). The character develops throughout the book, the story does not drag but leaves space for character development and there are characters who have left that I hope will make a reappearance in the remainder of the series. This is definitely worth using one of your credits on.

A New Take on the Dungeon World
The Nordic world tree has a seedling and it has its own world to grow and thrive in.
Well written and thought out, written as the start of an series . I think that I will keep listening to the next in the series with interest.

Not bad
Takes a while to get going but when it does it is pretty good.
The living dungeon subgenre is becoming increasingly popular within the litrpg genre, so I had some expectations, the author however took it in a completely new direction and in doing so created something a bit different from the others.
The plot also seems to have been well thought out, with the intention of making this a series as opposed to something more episodic as is usually found in the genre. That said although it does end with you wanting to continue on the the next instalment, enough of the plot has been tied up that it does stand well on its own.

A great alternative take on the whole concept of dungeon adventures. Well paced and the narration is spot on for me.

Engrossing tale
Fantastic dungeon core book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a slow burner but engrossing. I felt like someone was telling an amazing and out of this story while others were gathered around the fire, under the stars. I can't find a better way to explain it. While Andrew Karevik weaved a fantastical tale Neil Hellegers did an amazing job narrating it.
