Summary

Beware the 'fries! The world is on the brink of destruction. The dead have inexplicably risen, and their numbers grow with each passing day. As fear and panic spread across the globe, a group of survivors band together to fight for their lives and uncover the truth behind this catastrophic event.

At the heart of the story is Elliot, a young man who has lost everything he holds dear. His mother died not long before the undead plague hits, but not before sharing some hideous tales with her idealistic son. Elliot meets up with his estranged girlfriend on the day of the collapse in Twin Falls, Idaho. Despite the overwhelming grief, he refuses to give up on life. Together with a handful of other survivors, including police sergeant Mulhaven and a mysterious Tall Man who knows more than Jack Reacher and Jack Bauer combined, they set out on a perilous journey across a ravaged landscape, facing countless dangers along the way.

As they travel, they discover that the resurrection of the dead is only the beginning of the world's end. The forces of nature seemed to have turned against humanity, and night brings horrors beyond imagination. With time running out, Elliot and his companions must find a way to escape the apocalypse, or perish.

Toward the Brink is a heart-pumping, action-packed adventure that explores the human condition in the face of unimaginable horror. It is a tale of loss, love, and the resilience of the human spirit, and a warning of the dire consequences that come when humanity ignores the warning signs of its own destruction.

Interesting and gory horror at its best

Very happy with the way this story headed it was a bit of a funny one at first it really lays down the ground work for the survivors and the plan that gets set (obviously leads into book 2) if you want a solid zombie/post apocalypse horror trio then I can definitely say this is a string start
