About this listen
How a doctor's glimpses of eternity confirmed everything he believed about God, suffering, life on Earth, and what happens after death.
Dr. Chauncey Crandall knows his patients well. When they are dying, he sits at the bedside with them and holds their hands. He prays with them. Sometimes he can feel what they feel and see what they see. At other times his patients have near-death experiences and "come back" with astonishing descriptions of the afterlife. In Touching Heaven, Dr. Crandall reveals how what he has seen and heard has convinced him that God is real, that we are created for a divine purpose, that death is not the end, that we will see our departed loved ones again, and that we are closer to the next world than we think.

Great book by a cardiologist
I enjoyed this book partly because it is so unusual to hear a renowned MD so boldly declare his faith and spiritual side. The prose was good and the stories compelling, some of them outrageous in their medical outcomes.I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the afterlife, the veracity of modern day miracles or if it is possible in this day and age to mix ones professional and spiritual life.

Made me question my own faith
Once I got over the way the audio story was read (a little robotic for me) I enjoyed listening to this, at times heartbreaking, account of this Drs experience of faith and his journey. At times it brought me to tears, it made me question the strength of my own faith and it made me glad I have belief in someone/something greater.

rabbling bible bashing
spent good money on this audiobook thinking it was a Doctors experience of NDA's. Started off promising and then slowly turns into a rabbling bible lesson constantly quoting passages from the scriptures. Gave up listening after three or four chapters. waste of a credit.
