About this listen
A three-way clash between a drug cartel, a triad, and the Russian Mafia. A search for his long-lost sister. An all-consuming desire for vengeance. Gabriel Wolfe is back in action.
When he hired an assassin to kill Gabriel, Russian crime boss Max Novgorodsky made a big mistake. The assassin’s bullet missed Gabriel but took the life of one of his closest and dearest friends. Now the former SAS member has one thing on his mind. Vengeance.
Heads, you lose.
Halfway round the world, Colombian cartel boss Martin Ruiz sits down in a Japanese tea house to be served by his favorite geisha. But only one of them will leave in one piece.
The cartel is engaged in a bloody turf war with the White Koi triad. The stakes are sky-high: control of a global drug-trafficking route.
Tails, I win.
Gabriel's partner is Eli Schochat. She’s a real badass with an IDF and Mossad background. Together, they travel to Saint Petersburg, then a diamond mine in the far east of Russia.
Gabriel's skills extend from unarmed combat to knife-fighting and automatic weapons. From espionage to covert surveillance. Foreign languages to hypnosis. He'll need them all on this single-minded pursuit of justice for his dead friend.
"I want to go to prison."
Gabriel’s plan is simple. Novgorodsky’s organization - Kuznitsa, “the Forge” - recruits its muscle from one of the worst penal colonies in Russia. Gabriel aims to get inside.
The three opposing forces, with Gabriel caught in the crossfire, come together at Max’s country house outside Moscow in an explosive climax.
If you like your action intense.
As a Department operative, Gabriel is expected to play by the rules - even if they're written by an off-books outfit run by his former CO. But this is no Department mission. This is personal. And there's only one rule. Keep going until Max is dead or you are.

Another solid story from Andy Maslen but...
Following on from events at the end of book 8 we see Gabriel Wolfe out for vengeance and a suitable amount of bad guys are despatched along the way. Old characters make and appearance and new ones, potentially, (Likely), emerge to take us in to future adventures. Trying times see Gabriel slipping further out of control with his PTSD but whilst that in itself is good story telling, the self pitying is getting a little tedious and so the review loses a star as I sought to skip sections of the story that had me rolling my eyes, shaking my head and yelling at the car radio to give it a rest already.

Full on action.
Full of the high octane action we have come to expect from Gabriel. A little spoiled by minor editing errors and a whopper in Ch 32. Gethyn really does need to speed up his delivery a little. The story was improved by playing at 1.1, Otherwise would have awarded five stars all round.

Terrible
Who on earth is the narrator for this audio book ?
He is rubbish, I bought this book, money wasted
I just couldnt listen to the narrator, so I have no real idea what the book is about
If this is the best Andy can do I wont be buying any more
TBH, I cant even find Gabriel Wolfe very convincing
Andy has to go back to the drawing board with both the narrator and the subject Gabriel Wolfe
Definately not his best work
