About this listen
The unforgettable and achingly tender new novel from Sarah Winman, author of the international best seller When God Was a Rabbit and the Sunday Times Top 10 best seller A Year of Marvellous Ways.
It begins with a painting won in a raffle: 15 sunflowers, hung on the wall by a woman who believes that men and boys are capable of beautiful things. And then there are two boys, Ellis and Michael, who couldn't be closer. And the boys become men, and then they meet Annie, and it changes nothing and everything.
Tin Man sees Sarah Winman follow the acclaimed success of When God Was a Rabbit and A Year of Marvellous Ways with a love letter to human kindness and friendship, loss and living.

Beutiful listen
Once again Sarah unravels deep and wonderful characters on a journey of life. This felt like so much more than the four hour listen. Sarah is such a lovely reader of her own words. Thoroughly recommend.

A beautiful lament to sadness & grief
Such an enjoyable book. Reading about how Ellis tip taps through his own grief and then hearing Michael's version of his grief you think would it would be too much to bear. But fortunately, no, it isn't. Although we all have our own versions of coping with grief, this book highlights the truth of it. It's the memories that pain and haunt us.

Sarah Winman is extraordinary
I cried when this finished, partly from the story, partly because I was so sorry it had finished.
