Summary
Twelve years after abandoning me when I needed him most, Lucas Adler is back in Sun River. The boy I thought would be my forever is now a man on a mission to make things right. He wants to meet my son. I’d rather introduce him to my fist.
Then Lucas makes an offer I can’t refuse: help him reopen the idyllic Camp Wild Lake for a new generation of kids. It’s my dream come true, and he knows it.
The more time I spend with Lucas, though, the harder it is to hold onto resentment. Our shared history binds us, and our chemistry is the kind our high school science teachers warned us about—explosive.
Can I let go of the hurt and anger of his abandonment all those years ago? We can’t rewrite the past, but perhaps we can shape the future.
Either way, it’s time for us to find out.
Time for Us is a full-length standalone contemporary romance with spice. Please see the author's website for content warnings.

Second chance romance
When Lucas comes back to town after ten years away, he reconnects with his former best friend Celeste. There is such a complicated history between these two which includes Jeremy, their third best friend, and Celeste's late husband (and father of her son). The set up was perfect for this angsty, emotional, second chance romance. The plot flowed well and there were some beautifully insightful words to describe their grief journey.
The audio performance and production was amazing. My favorite audiobooks are emotionally driven because with the right narrators, like these, it feels so much deeper than reading the words on a page. Every character was uniquely voiced. Between the story and the narration, I found it hard to turn this one off.

4.5 Stars!
Heartfelt, emotional, second chance romance! 💕
Time for Us is such a heartfelt, emotional story about love, second chances and forgiveness. It really gave me all the feels!
Our MCs Lucas and Celeste first meet when they are kids and Lucas moves into the house next door to Celeste. They soon become best friends. Later as teenagers, they meet Jeremy, and all three become best friends. Lucas and Celeste originally both have feelings for each other, but through a series of events, Jeremy and Celeste fall in love and end up together, and married as adults. Years later, after Jeremy’s passing, Lucas and Celeste have a falling out and don’t speak to each other for years. Fast forward, 12 years after Jeremy’s death, Lucas is back in town to reopen the camp they all loved as kids and hires Celeste to help run it. He also is the godfather to Celeste’s son whom he has never met and wants to make amends and make up for the time he wasted. There is so much angst, given their complicated history, but through their reconciling and spending time with each other, they are finally able to sort through their feelings and attraction to each other. This brilliant story is told through a series of flashbacks, as well as, moments in the current time.
I really love reading/listening to this book. It was filled with so much emotion. So much was explored here, including love, loss, grief, friendship, feelings of attraction, and much more.
If you are looking for your next emotional and angsty, second chance, childhood friends-to-lovers read, search no further. Because this book right here, it's about to break your heart, in the best way!
The narration was perfect! Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor, Sean Masters, and Oscar Reyes, all three delivered such exquisite performances. Brentmoor’s portrayal of Celeste was amazing as she really showed the emotions that Celeste was going through trying to sort out her mixed feelings about Lucas and all that entailed. Masters was perfect in the way that he showed Lacas’ fun and flirty nature with his flirty banter, as well as the longing he had all those years from watching the girl he loved fall in love with someone else. Woow, I really felt it all! 😪 Finally, Reyes brought tears to my eyes with his portrayal of Jeremey. They all brought personality and character to their voices. I really loved this narration!

Wonderful Listen!
Time For Us was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be the last! Such a great heartfelt story with characters I couldn’t help but love. It’s angsty, enemies to lovers, childhood friends, and what a journey Celeste and Lucas have to their hea.
The dual narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Sean Masters was just perfect for these characters and I really enjoyed how Oscar Reyes joined for Jeremy’s part. They all brought this story to life for me.

Get ready for the feels!
Oh the feels this book has! LM Halloran knows how to work her stories right into my heart! This second book in her Sun River series is full of emotions and I was ready! Celeste, Jeremy and Lucas were best friends growing up. As they reached their teens, Celeste's heart belonged to Lucas, but despite a kiss between them, Lucas stepped aside for Jeremy. Now years later, Celeste is Jeremy's widow with a son, and Lucas is back in town. What does this mean for the future? Halloran has created a world where three people have interconnected feelings, and now the two who need to see where they stand. What better place than the summer camp that they loved. It's nostalgic and so much fun as these two begin to rebuild and reopen their childhood. It's tragic as family deals with problems. It's guilt of still being here when a loved one is not. And it's beautiful as life takes the path it is meant to. I loved this story, and look forward to book 3!
Samantha Brentmoor and Sean Masters are the narrators and just wow! These two find the souls of their characters, creating emotions so real that my heart was right their in each scene. Cameos by Oscar Reyes come in adding extra feelings, and together they have created magic! Loved this narration, it was a perfect Saturday listen.

Time for Us
Time For Us is the second book in the Sun River series. This book can be read as a standalone. This is a second chance at first love trope. Celeste has liked Lucas since they were nine, but in love with him since they were fourteen. He was her first love. Celeste, Lucas, and Jeremy were always together. Jeremy told Lucas he was in love with Celeste. He asked if Lucas would give him a chance. Lucas didn’t think he was good enough for Celeste, so he stepped back and let Jeremy take his shot. Celeste and Jeremy got married and had a son. Jeremy got deployed, but didn’t make it home. Now several years later Lucas has come back to the place where all of his best and worst memories were held. Lucas buys the summer camp where he found his first love and lost her at the same time. He planned on turning it into a luxury spot for the wealthy. Celeste and Lucas reconnect but it definitely was a rocky start. Loved these characters, so happy they got their HEA.
Samantha Brentwood, Sean Masters did a wonderful job narrating this book. Oscar Reyes did a great job with his cameo too.

Beautifully Heartfelt! Wonderful Story & Listen🎧
This is a wonderful story of a beautiful romance that never had its chance, a story that is original with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. A younger Celeste Miller became best friends with the boy door, Lucas Adler, a friendship that turned into crushes. Jeremy Torres also crushed on Celeste and when he made his intentions known, Lucas knew he missed his chance with her. Celeste and Jeremy get married, but she does not have him long, because he dies while serving the country, leaving her and their son, Damian, on their own. Lucas had already left Sun River, returned for Jeremy’s funeral, but Celeste had not seen or heard from him since, until now. Lucas has done well for himself and comes back to Sun River to develop an old campground, the same campground he, Jeremy, and Celeste spent time at and were fond of. Celeste is not happy with Lucas for several reasons, and questions his intentions with the property and why he came back to Sun River. I adored these two, and it was clear there were unresolved feelings between them, and an undeniable chemistry. It was great to watch them reacquaint themselves and learn about who they are now, as well as their past selves. I loved all the layers of the story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and a steamy romance. And Jeremy’s letters hit me straight in the heart. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. L.M. Halloran, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Samantha Brentmoor, Sean Masters, and Oscar Reyes were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and do so with a complete understanding of who they are portraying, giving each a voice that is fitting. They take their roles and own them, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. Brentmoor nails it as Celeste, showcasing every aspect of her personality and Masters does the same as Lucas, with both delivering an exceptional performance and Reyes was just as amazing as Jeremy. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture their character’s emotions, making you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Celeste and Lucas!
When they were growing up Celeste, Lucas and Jeremy were like the three musketeers as they did everything together. Both Lucas and Jeremy had feelings for Celeste, but it was Jeremy that she married, and he was the one who was the father of her son Damien. When he passed away, she needed Lucas but instead of it bringing them together it tore them apart.
Lucas has recently returned to town with big plans for the summer camp that held so many special memories for them however that includes making peace with the past and repairing relationships with everyone he has distanced himself from. He has always loved Celeste, but will she realize that loving him is not a betrayal against the man they both loved?
Everyone in their lives know they belong together, and you will feel the same way as you learn about their past and when things feel complicated they are surrounded by friends and family who keep them on course. The performance of these narrators brings out every emotion as they struggle to find their way back to each other.
