About this listen

Time travel. Alien bug-monsters. Beautiful women.

Not bad for a strip-club bouncer with a talent for slowing down time.

I never thought my power was good for anything really important. It was useful for helping me win fistfights against drunken customers, and for ogling the girls onstage. But saving the multiverse against a plague of inter-dimensional monsters?

That was a bit out of my league.

Or so I believed. But then a massive time-rift opened up behind the club, and a mad old time wizard saved my life. Now, here I am, careening through time in an old hippie van, with two crazy-hot strippers and an AI at my side, trying to level up enough to defeat the monsters.

Sure, there’s a damn good chance I’ll die trying, but it ought to be one hell of a ride.

Note: This book contains harem elements.

standard harem

pretty standard harem book, the LITrpg parts seems tacked on, but they don't get in the way...
you like sifi harem books with only human participants this is a great book with well described scenes and a fun setup.

Chris does such a great job you forget it's a handsome dude trying to turn you on...

Not often I have Character ENVY.

A great unique twist on time travel. I think it had time travel im still thinking of the Twins, (trust me you will understand)
To be honest I was hoping to rewind time and add a few more hours to the book as I wanted more.
One thing without going into the story, is time goes too quick when your enjoying something . Jim

Lighthearted fun

This was a nice introduction in to a new series by Wyatt Kane. His previous works has been six titles in The Enhancer Series.

This book has some nice time spell mechanics and the action is pretty good (not amazing where comparing to the spells, violence or gun play of other books I've read). I goes a long a good pace and there were no slow parts. This was mostly light hearted and had quite a few pop culture references and quotes (a couple of Harry Potter and even being quite up to date with mentioning Thanos). There was quite a bit of light sex in this book. Not amazingly graphic but this makes it not Young Adult.

The story is a little predictable as one of the twists was easy to see from very early on. There are hints of certain aspects like the character which was unaffected by the MC's ability and the message from the Eldritch Horror creature at the end of the book which made piqued my interest to get the next book to see what happens.

The narutor did a good job with both the male and female voices but kept a bit of a too narrow tone. I prefer a bit more range of emotion but remembering back there wasn't a massive opportunity in the book to show his range.

Fun listen

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Time travel is not always boring and predictable. I really enjoyed the light hearted tongue in cheek humour and innuendos and hope there’s more to come in this series.

I thought it was worth the "time" to listen.

Please Note: I try to avoid spoilers in my reviews, and my Audible reviews are completely based on the audio book, not the written format. As such, the reviews are heavily influenced by the narration.

Vocal Quality:
The narration style of Time Master is consistent and strong, and Chris Graves is the only voice heard in the track. There is a fair attempt to make each character stand apart, and even without being told names I would likely be able to determine which character is speaking based on the voice alone. None of the voices came across as irritating or uncomfortable to listen to, and I could easily understand the words spoken without issue.

Sounds / Effects:
There were no noticeable digital enhancements (Jingles, sound cues, etc) in this book, as each scene relied on audio description. The quality of this description matched the vocal quality. Chapters were clearly marked, No further comments or complaints.

Pace:
I think the reading speed of this story was well timed. No noticeable speed changes, and the narration quality remained consistent throughout the story. This book was performed professionally, and I was able to use the default playback speed throughout the recording. No adjustments required and no difficulty in following alongside the speaker.

Overall:
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance that Chris Graves gave to this story. I also enjoyed the actual content by Wyatt Kane. As the audio was descriptive, it relied on the strength of the words being spoken just as much as the narration. I think the narration matched the plot very well, and I would therefore highly recommend both the writer and the narrator. In my opinion, they both equally deserve praise for this collaboration.
