Summary
"Readers who love a happy ending will not be disappointed." (Author Stacie Eirich)
Josie is content as a maid in a rich cottager's mansion along the Cliff Walk of beautiful Newport, Rhode Island, but the arrival of her employer's handsome, pensive son tempts her into a relationship that while chaste, is forbidden between their social classes in the Gilded Age of 1893.
After travels abroad have led Arthur in search of a deeper connection with his Lord, he returns home to find love with his mother's maid, a Christian girl with a heart full of love and charity. Can they overcome their families' refusal to accept their attachment, or is their relationship doomed from their very first meeting on the romantic Cliff Walk?

Sweet story
I enjoyed this sweet simple love story of 2 people falling in love while working to lean on God and keep Him the center.
This is not a typical genre for me so I’m not sure how it would compare, but I enjoyed listening and time seemed to slip by as I listened.

Wholesome Values
This was a very easy listen and very enjoyable. It is a story set in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The status of a person and the proper etiquette were treated as if they were actual laws. I did enjoy the overall Christian values throughout the book. I really liked the development of Josey and Arthur's relationship. I recommend giving it a listen.

sorry...
I found the characters, and the story in general, annoying. IMO people should do good things for humanity's sake and not for God's sake.
the narrator did not save this book for me.
