Summary
Laura Lake longs to be a journalist. Instead she's an unpaid intern at a glossy magazine, sleeping in the fashion cupboard and living on canapés. But she's just got her first big break: infiltrate three society weddings and write a juicy exposé.
Security will be tighter than a bodycon dress, but how hard can it be? Cue disappearing brides, demanding socialites and a jealous colleague determined to bring her down.

Party poopers
A bit of a none-discript story without massive excitement or incidents. Funnily enough though I had to keep listening to find out what and how the story was going to end. Enjoyable and entertaining it did end rather quickly . Worth the read / listen .

predictable and annoying main character
lacks the wit and joie 'de vivre of Holden's earlier books. the main character was self centred and repeatedly relies on men to rescue her. What a shame.

DISAPOINTING 2 STARS🌟🌟
I really expected more from Wendy Holden, as normally her books are full of fun and laughter. The only time I found myself smiling was when Lulu mispronounced English words.
Charlie Sanderson was good at her job narrating the book.
No, I wouldn't recommend this listen as it was boring.
This book was FREE to listen too via the Plus Catalogue included membership, so at least I didn't waste a credit or money.
