About this listen

A year ago, Bronte left Sydney for a wedding in England, where she met newly single Alex. After one amazing night together they parted ways.

Now working on the picture desk for a glossy magazine in London, Bronte is about to meet a new colleague – who turns out to be all too familiar. Alex is now engaged, but the memory of the spark they felt when they met hasn't died. As Alex's wedding day looms, it is clear that he and Bronte have unfinished business...

A sparkling, feel-good listen for fans of Lindsey Kelk and Kirsty Greenwood.

Enjoyable easy going read

Its not rocket science, you won't be intellectually challenged but you will have the perfect easy going likable read. You can't help but feel you personally know the characters and feel their emotional turmoil. A perfect escapism read. The only negative to this book was the authors scattered derogatory references to over weight women. This was not needed, and I felt these comments were cheap shots at trying to inject additional humour, unnecessarily. However that's just my opinion, others may find such references humorous.

Frustrating

Moaner!! The main character droned on the whole way through wanting to be saved by one of the men she leads on through the whole book only to moan on about her childhood the whole way through of something that isn’t even that shocking. Listened to the end thinking something good would happen but just gets more frustrating

Poor and indecisive ending

Could have been five hours shorter. Story never moves on. Characters are frustratingly samey. Boring. Not one of Paige Toon's better efforts. So disappointing.

A good book

The story is good overall, it keeps moving slowly and kept me interested. I did find some of the narrative a bit stilted and unnatural at times but it wasn't too bad. My only issue was with the twist. It was lead up to be a major issue for Bronte but i found it quite disappointing when it was revealed. I'd not say don't listen to this book, but don't expect a masterpiece
